Powerplay 2.0 Activities

Looks like commodity donation missions went through a stealth nerf with the update on Thursday. Before the update, I was earning merits based on the sale price of the commodity at the destination station. After the update, I'm now earning mertis based on the purchase price of the commodity at the source. :(
Interesting - though Tritium/Silver/Gold donations (which were the really big ones per tonne) should only be marginally affected by that, in general?

Correct.

The annoying thing for me is that there are a lot more commodities out there that were high margin, making about eight-ten merits/ton, but costing me about three to four kilocredits/ton, so I was able to maintain a fairly decent generation of merits without having to return to a fortified system for my 30 minute allotment. Since there’s a one merit to the kilocredit exchange rate for donation missions, my reinforcement rate has been more than cut in half.

Which is a good thing in the long term, given the imbalance between undermining and reinforcing, but it does require a bit of reevaluation of my current theater of operations.

This can also be in fort systems - I just tried it. Make sure you don't swap ships with your freshly mined commodities in though, as the game seems to clear the metadata of said commodities and forgets it was mined, making them worthless for merits... of course.

If you mean "can also be mined in fortified systems", maybe you missed that "SS" is "Supporting System", either fortified or stronghold in range of the Acquisition System? I abbreviated this for space saving, maybe it's better if I put "Supporting System" though.

I'll add this to the notes! Thanks.

Ah my bad! I've read your guide thoroughly but that one escaped me, and I thought it "Stronghold System".

It's a great reference, appreciate you making and maintaining it as my squadron and I use it often. Good job.

Didn't read all 16 pages so I apologize if there's already an answer to this, but:

I got the mission "hack 9 holoscreen adverts in Bunda system". Never done that before but hey, when I tried it it, worked. Problem is, there are only three stations here, and apparently two of them are already hacked. So I got 1 hack. Now what? There's nothing else to hack here... Or am I missing something?

They'll reset every time you return to that station, so you can hack the same one multiple times.

Probably best to have something else to do in Bunda that's going to involve going past that station repeatedly...

I hate to tell you this, but you can reset the signs by relogging at the same station. The old loops never die I guess.

Am I right in thinking if one has collected Liberal Propaganda, but all systems within 20ly are in Acquisition, one might as well eject that propaganda into the void?

That is Felicia Winters' commodity for Undermining according to the comment here.

From what I have in the initial post, and according to @Ian Doncaster 's data, there's no requirement to deliver it to a system in range of where it was obtained, just to a Power Contact in an Undermining System. If this isn't the case, let us know!

Allocated Resources used for Undermining (under which activity Winters' Liberal Propaganda falls) has no distance limit. Simply find any control system of any enemy Galactic Power and deliver to a Power Contact NPC. This guide may help shed some light on how Allocated Resources work.

I bought some gold for 3k a ton, and selling it for 51k a ton, but no merits are being awarded. 46.6k profit per ton. Is the guide accurate, or do I have some weird glitch in the system i want to work?

I got some trade merits last night for buying computer components at 400cr/tonne and selling them at 1100cr/tonne to a Reinforcement system, so it's working at least some of the time in that direction.
