Essential, could also be deluxe edition though. I think its a well iconic species of primate that if it got a climbing fix, would be a great addition to the PZ2 primate roster and a stand out at that.

Animal #37 - Dromedary Camel
View attachment 411606
Which category does it fit into?
  • Essential for Planet Zoo 2 Base Game
  • Save for PZ2 DLCs/Deluxe
  • Doesn’t need to make it but sure
  • Can be left out entirely
Can I say that I'm really irritated by the statements of "ugly models from Planet Zoo 1 should be put into a DLC so that they can work on their models" what kinda thought is that? They should work on the models from the start, if that would be the case they can leave the Lion, Hyena and Bear out of the base game to work on their models. Stupid statement.

Dromedary is probably essential for realists, but I prefer the Bactrian Camel with TWO bulbs over this one with only one bulb, I think I want the Domedary for the Deluxe version, it is perfect for this.

I dont think that its a stupide statement at all. Like updating 100ish animals to current quality is one hell of a task, and especially if it turns out true that PZ2 is scheduled for 2026. So leaving some animals, ideally those that need substancial reworks instead of just texture updates or small tweaks, for DLC were there is more time to work on them doesnt seem like an unreasonable idea to me. Like the orang utan strike me as one of those animals that would need some pretty heavy work both on the model and animation/behaviour front so its not just essential an orange gorilla. So i would rather wait, have it headline some kind of rainforest pack and get a really great orang, rather than have a half asssed one from the start.

And yeah ideally we would get everything fully updated already in the basegame, but i really dont think thats gonna happen

I'm against copy-pasting of all animals from one game to another, all animals should get the desired amount of re-work before they go from PZ1 to PZ2, just giving 100% the same models again is lazy and cheap, and I don't want anything to do with both of those.
If they work on PZ2 they already do that for some years now probably, and modders create nice models in like a day, so I think professionals should do it even faster, no excuse to not include Orangutan and Bactrian Camels later in DLC, they can create such models within a week, they can always just re-work the models in a patch anyway, they proved this with the Binturang, why they didn't with the lion and hyena and others is beyond me.

I agree with fossa here, even though I think dromedary should be essential and not deluxe.

I think some animals would benefit from that treatment and give Frontier recognizable frontliners or big sellers for the packs. Animals like the orangutan, the giant otter, the spotted hyeana, the african wild dog, the okapi, senow leopard etc. all are good material for DLC in remasterized form without compromisong the trully essential ABC animals (lion, tigers, elephants, rhinos, hippos, zanra, giraffe, wolf, bears, etc). A lot of those animals need heavy remakes so leaving some others that also do for DLCs would make it easier to focus the effort of remaking the ones that SHOULD and MUST 100% be in base game from the get go. Not saying the others i mentioned aren't essential. I think they are, just not as urgentely demanded as the ABC ones. Idk if that made any sense lol
