"Form follows function" had been around for well over a millennium before ZP were a thing (which is fine, given 21st Century Earth was still building Ionic and Corinthian architecture...)
Nothing a little WD-40 can't fix...I thought it had got stuck.
Or perhaps about 5bnCR in exploration data.Nothing a little WD-40 can't fix...
If they invent tractor beams capable of moving a planet to a new orbit, who knows - some GG cores are probably not much different to high metal content worlds. Just need to blast the gas off!I know it can never happen (or can it?) because, Science™ but I'd love to find a terraformable gas giant.
Y'know, I've never found a GG all of my own.If they invent tractor beams capable of moving a planet to a new orbit, who knows - some GG cores are probably not much different to high metal content worlds. Just need to blast the gas off!
Yeah,, those bio's have pretty specific requirements as to where they'll grow.View attachment 415135
Okey doke, I've reached the part of the learning curve where it gets easier now.
I was bamboozled to start with because four of these were all around in the same area but of course that's no good for sample gathering because you can't multitask. (There wasn't much I could do about that happening either because the blue was pretty much the same for those four on the DSS.) I took screen clips of lat and long for a while and drove back to Species 2 once Species 1 was done by doing rough bearings in my head, but then I went looking for a tool and discovered SRV Survey, hurrah.
The Osseus - I found one by accident whilst doing all that faff above, and then realised they liked sitting on the pavements/hillocks so I took off again and went looking for a long chain of those. Between driving along the side of the raised rough pavement using the turret to look at them, and some careful low flying, that got that done. (The third one was a swine, I must have flown a dozen different lanes of rocky bits, and I also found one that was 10m inside the limit)
And in all that time I didn't see a single Frutexa so I realised it must grow in some other biome. And then I remembered I hadn't really looked at that DSS filter yet. Flicked the Frutexa filter on and yep, much less blue, and a totally different pattern - it was super obvious it only grew in foothills, so I went looking for the smallest patch of blue I could, landed on the nearest flat part (but was very careful to point the ship at where I knew the DSS had highlighted) and walked into the hills. Bingo. And those were only 200m range so I could easily find three samples on foot.
Except I forgot I wouldn't usually do three samples and a bunch of jumping to see over hillocks... so when I got back to the ship energy was on 9%. (I did have a cell tho)
A scoopable star on someone’s route elsewhere probably.Well, that was annoying.
I'm in an area where everything is completely virgin and I'm getting first discos everywhere. Then I spot a B-star system which can be really interesting and I find someone had already claimed it.

I think the colour depends on the star type.Hmm. Does stratum tectonicus only come in lime?
I've never seen any other colour but now you've got me thinking as to which star types it. Food for thought!I think the colour depends on the star type.
Sometimes its easy, sometimes it not, it can all depend on the terrain, lighting and the species. On occasions I will scan a planet fly in low and if it does not look right I will not even bother to landOkey doke, I've reached the part of the learning curve where it gets easier now.
It depends on how far they are apart but at times I have managed to do 2 species (6 scans) before having to return to ship.Except I forgot I wouldn't usually do three samples and a bunch of jumping to see over hillocks... so when I got back to the ship energy was on 9%. (I did have a cell tho)
No, lime is probably the most common but there are others.Hmm. Does stratum tectonicus only come in lime?

Schrödinger's door, it's a door or it's not a door.A strange thing the other day while I was walking to the Vista office on my carrier I noticed that if I wasn’t facing it directly the door to one of the Suspended Service areas was missing if I faced it the door reappeared. Beyond the door I could see people standing and sitting.
I suspect I have found the bar that I never bought or added to my carrier.
