How do I find places that sell CMM without using inara?
Surface Refineries. Your best bet is to go somewhere that wants to buy CMM materials, go into the market interface and highlight CMMs. You get this window on the right (agri medicines as an example)

You'll get that "Produced by/Also Produced By" which will give you the nearest settlements making them. Five bucks says this would be a TIL for many.

ok these costs are far FAR to steep for T3 and T2 ports, this really needs to be reduced, thats an unreasonable amount of work just to get 1 T3 same for the tier 2 structures and in many systems that have 20-30 slots wont reasonably give you many at all, (the one that says +2 point is a typo and meant to be +1).

this really shafts CMDR's who are either playing solo or using a system that doesnt have 40+ building slots, any system with less then thats worthless and not worth spending anytime building up at all if you want it to be anything serious or decent

please seriously reconsider this and drop the requirements by at least 50% for T3's and a hard 2 points for T2.

You should allow to rename more things: Systems, Planets, Stars, ...
Nope its bad enough with the names of some of the new stations - the playerbase cant be trusted.
Limited with only 4 weeks to complete the construction, it is too hard in Solo.
Build an Outpost first, then the big stuff

As someone has already said i can hear Queen playing in the background of this thread.

CMM is not that hard to get, you just need to know where to look
Finding it isn't the issue. I know how to find it. The issue is the amount that's out there to find and the fact it takes several hours to gather the amount needed for even the smallest outpost. I can't imagine the hell-grind of building something larger.

So, I have now colonized my first system, Hydrae Sector ND-S b4-1, and the new station v. Gersdorff Depot is now online.

My first impressions and feature requests:

  1. More options for customizing stations individually—and if possible, not everything locked behind ARX.
  2. It would be great if the system itself could be renamed, not just the stations.
  3. More benefits for all builders. For example, those who contributed the first supplies could receive limited building rights—but only with the system architect’s approval.
  4. A Builder’s Lobby would be nice, where all builders and their invited friends can access some system and economy-related information.
  5. Secure storage in the system could also be a great benefit. It would be great if we could store goods and items on built stations, similar to carriers.
  6. The option for a Carrier Port, where carriers could be loaded and unloaded faster, would also be a great addition.

A general request:

Please add an "Load/Unload All" function when transferring items to or from a carrier!

I’m hoping for more improvements. The required amounts feel fine to me—it shouldn’t be too easy. But everyone who helps should get something out of it.

Best regards,
Plotnik

so crunched the numbers abit.

you need to build 3 Tier 1 structures for a single Tier 2 structure
you need 6 Tier 2 structures to get a T3 Port of any kind

thats TWENTY FOUR structures for a single Tier 3 orbital or Tier 3 Ground Port.
and thats without building any Tier 3 economy type structures.

if you want one of them as well thats another 4 Building slots you need to throw onto that number.

this is absurdly high, the wierd part? apparently Tier three structures only needed 3 credits before with Tier 2 requiring two, they apparently doubled the required amount and increased the T2 requirements by 50%

so yes even with a system of 40 building slots you can only get 1 SINGLE Tier 3 port if you dont start with Tier 3.

this is so absurdly unbalanced its not funny.

oooo, another Q .... when lots of colonisers fail to build their first outpost in 3 weeks' time, can we buy up the partial builds at a knock-down price ? As in, buy the claim and take it over and complete it?

Or incentive. Give people a reason to help.
The incentive is the creds, and I can't even pay people to unload right now. Oh! And its not like I can't give incentive; but they removed even Titan Drive Components from the market, didn't they? :)
What reason would people help aside from that they are your friends or squadmate?
And there isn't even a system to be able to facilitate it-the FC's were perfect for this though, you can pay people to haul. Either they let us set the colonisation material pricing, or they find a way to let us pay players or npc in another form. I'm willing to fork out engineering materials(for ships, I think suit can still be done in bar perhaps), G3 suits and weapons-the things that are troublesome to get for a few hours of hauling, etc. But there isn't a way to pay it to players, and it being an actual game function would go a long way considering its hard to not think 'eh, maybe they won't pay me/they will run away with payment'.
I do wonder if you can, say, split some profit between station and you to the contributing players, but that doesn't seem likely.
Basically the game isn't giving us a way to give incentive... Is there anything I'm missing? Something I'm clueless to that can give more incentive/reason to players? I would love to know, genuinely, because when you said 'give a reason/incentive for people to help' so you seem to have an idea that perhaps I am failing to recognise. >_<
PS: And when I say 'trust', I mean it would be better to be able to set prices like the FC. Because then it goes through the game's system, and not just solely by your word of mouth. And you wouldn't need to, say, be there and find time to meet with the player because different time zones and its harder to meetup due to life.

If you were docked on the colony construction thingy and it has departed using stuck recovery works, according to information else forum.

Need to expand the distance from Sol for expansion. No systems nearby are uninhabited therefore no commanders can claim any more systems. This isn't fair to the rest of us FDev!!
