Elite Dangerous | System Colonisation Beta Details & Feedback

I appreciate your words above, Paul.

I understand it's a beta, even it is on live servers.

I think it's absolutely correct to care about exploits and if necessary pause even an essential issue (system claiming) of Trailblazers.

But I do NOT understand, why you (Fdev) give next to nothing information about how you intended system colonisation (is the impact of building this construction as intended? Should this be the economy resulting of the way the system looks now? Is it correct that there ist no shipyard yet? Do the points in wealth/Dev.-Lvl./TechLvl/... result in what was intended? ...? ...?) Here we would need al least some concrete documentation when beta testing for you.

And actually I do ABSOLUTELY NOT understand the problem in communicating a bit more than nothing. You made everyone eager to take part of the beta with this great new feature, and now a lot of players are waiting just to be able to claim a system, but Fdev communicates nothing but "we are working on it..." for more than a week.
I guess no one is waiting for "it'll be online again friday at 10.53h".
Just f. e. "don't expect it with next mainentance", "just some more days", "it'll take 1-2 more weeks sadly".... anything.
But saying nothing, having an extended mainenance = a lot of hopeful players, that are very disappointed now.
I swear the secret services are more talkative than the FD about the development of the Elite since Horizons

If there is no explanation, no legitimate reasoning given within 24hrs, I'm banning anything from FDev from my community. I'm pretty angry about this. There is no excuse for this. It's either gross incompetence or they are outright doing this on purpose and lying to us. Either way it is unacceptable.
I suspect this is way overreacting on your part...but I have no answers for you either...

In all fairness though, Frontier very clearly stated Colonisation is feature complete, so if someone doesn't like it in the current state on a fundamental level, this will not change unless Frontier do a 180 on their statement. All I'm expecting is some number tweaks here and there, bug fixing to the same extent as for PP2.0 (heh) and for the love of new players, refining the documentation around how it all works.
Fair enough. If you dislike Trailblazers on some kind of fundamental level, it's probably best to move on instead of consuming hopium and copium that it will change to your liking.

You should really get over yourself, and your "community" too, probably. If you enjoy the game, play it, there is plenty to do and enjoy. If not, then don't. But acting all entitled on the forums, reddit or any other social media will get you nowhere.
I'm not being entitled. I expect reasonable communication. It isn't happening. I expect if they want us to test something they give us the info to do it. It isn't happening. I'm disappointed because I have years in this game. I don't think asking for these two things are unreasonable.

There's asking, and then there is demanding. Think about how it comes across. Thinking twice before rage posting is generally a good idea.

That's fine, I'm sure you will all find the perfect game that gives you everything you all want, in a timescale that suites every member, good luck!
There's one that communicates, but i don't want to break any rules. It's the same one they want to completely move to and forget this one. I don't. I like this one.

I guess it could be s fine line, but I'm not sure if I'm asking or demanding anymore. I feel like the entire Elite community should be demanding answers, but others have more patience than me, sometimes.

What should they announce, "We are working on it", "We can't commit to a date it will be fixed".

Do you want to know what line of code they changed?

If they provide a date because it is demanded and they don't make that date, the salty tears will flow even more.

I would rather they fix the issues properly, otherwise any issues will branch out and become impossible to fix.

Maybe they want to know five things they did 🤭

I assume this is a PvP point of view, since you said bunch of people. My point of view is more a solo players perspective and I was thinking on how solo player cooperation could be encouraged.

I am actually thinking it might be more fun to help others out with system colonization and might join the invasion efforts of the Thargoid systems (I've seen a YouTube video on this the other day) once I am finished with my system.

I am finding it quite a long grind for one person and I picked a basic gas giant system with 1 set of asteroid belts to colonize to see how it all works.
Nope - PvP in our Group (Explorers on Tour) actually is banned - if not a "Tournament" e.g. previously agreed upon. We are a loose bunch of Explorers, Traders and alike and have no strict Clan-Organisation or -Rules/-Duties.
I myself discovered that group also only after playing some time already - since more then 8 Years playing along with a bunch of friends (also from CANONN, Likedeeler, AXI-Initiative, UGC (United German Commander) an some more.
There is no reason to stay solo unless you choose to ;)
