That's why I was curious with my first question. I'm finishing up a surface outpost on the major planet that started it before I had any idea of how economy works. My hope is that the surface outpost would work like a coriolis but just on surface planet and the five other settlements and hubs would supply it

yeah given the amount of time it would take someone to populate a decent sized system, you really don't want to be leaving these things to random chance. I mean, every unpopulated system getting some kind of starport is great, in and of itself. having these systems be actually useful in the wider galaxy, producing stuff that is needed for colonisation, is a different matter. one of the Trailblazers devs really needs a 30 minute spot on Frontier Unlocked to explain how all this works....

you suggest in the same way they explained how to decode Thargoid Probes and the Tharg Sites later? Or how they explained how to find Raxxla? Yep, that will happen definetly ;)

Managed to get in the game, but now I can't seem to find the megaship in 34 omicron cephei. No galnet article on it being moved as well.
 
that's a horse of a different colour. there is a difference between puzzles they put in for us to work out, and explaining how a BGS/Colonisation system works.

Okay, nevermind, found it, but had to go in FSS to manually scan for it and then it showed in the nav panel. This game really doesn't enjoy having so many carriers in the same spot.
 
Nice, it would be possible to see at a glance if an area is busy with construction - or not.
It's kinda more confusing this way - are you supposed to know this system is under construction? Revoked claim? Is it excluded for colonization, period?
