I actually have to admit I like the coyote, it feels like a staple for a wild west style area and now I kinda want to build one. The rhea is huge, I'm so excited for that. The flamingo and bighorn are cool, not animals I particularly wanted but another bird is another bird and I've been dying for a warm climate caprine (even if I would have rathered, and still want, the aoudad).

Ok, so my guess:

“Americas Pack”
  1. Coyote 🌟
  2. Greater Rhea
  3. American flamingo
  4. Bighorn sheep
  5. White faced saki
  6. Coati (maybe)
  7. Ocelot (maybe)
I’ll admit last two are a toss up, but I am feeling confident on the first 5. Either way while this is clone heavy (and I really think the coyote and bighorn should be something else) but I genuinely can’t believe I finally have birds for the Americas.

It’s so pathetic it’s taken this long but whatever.

Also the scenery will be Mexican or Latin America inspired. Considering the coyote, flamingo, and desert sheep are all native to their it seems like a no brainer. Honestly I am hyped for some good scenery for the Americas. South America Pack has good scenery, but it’s a bit too generic and theme parky for me.
honestly if it wasnt for the rhea I would of thought the theme was just straight up a mexico pack and we got the saki wrong but the rhea is firmly a south america animal and the bighorn is firmly north american
the animals also dont even exist in the same desert so unless its an americas pack I honestly cant think of a theme that makes sense

Seeing the sombrero, it may be just a Mexican pack but it definitely doesn't rule out an Americas pack :)

At this point, Rhea, Coyote, (American) Flamingo, and Bighorn Sheep are more or less confirmed. I hope we'll get a coati with that. Why not a monkey (Yucatan Spider Monkey?).

Im just praying its Mexico pack, as oh my god if they choose the main theme for Latin America being a full desert thats just pure stereotype
Flamingos aren't desert animals😉
And as a Hispanic, I wouldn't feel like it's a stereotype, honestly

Oh, heck yeah. And anvils, too

Another damn caprid in a row is insane I'm sorry what is going on lmao.
We always made fun of African Antelopes here, but maybe it’s the goats we didn’t see that frontier loves……..
However, two birds in one animal pack (and two for a region that was very lacking them) is a very big deal and I'm immediately more excited than I was for Eurasia or ZKs.
It’s been two years since that last happened. And will be well over a year since we our last bird. Also, outside of the king penguin being slated for South America this is our first true “birds of the Americas”. Actually endemic species for our continents lmao.
The canid fan in me can't be mad at the coyote from a selfish personal preference perspective, but I can totally see why others are and I cannot defend it as a good pick in the slightest.
I don’t prefer the coyote, but I get it it’s a cute enough dog option. Pretty much ubiquitous with the desert in North America but honestly makes perfect enough sense to be on this DLC.
Overall excited this time around, my expectations were low but still - I'm just happy to be getting some solid looking animals after all this time and I'm happy it's not a total mammal fest. Hopefully, there are no more ungulates/carnivorans barring a coati so we can save some room for more needed groups.
Honestly us bird people are so easy to pleas at this point I’m excited for two very obvious clone animals LMAOOOOOO

This all gets a pretty sturdy "ehhhh" from me thus far on the roster. The only 'confirmed' pick that has me actually excited thus far would be the new world monkey and they picked my least favorite one of all the options. Hah. But it's still a win.

That said: A new flamingo will be nice. The coyote looks great and I know I hated on them previously but... If it looks this good in-game I'm sure I'll wind up using it. The greater rhea and bighorn sheep will be nice ways to add variety to region-focused zoo sections. And there's a lot of potential for the scenery with this one.

So I'm not exactly thrilled with the roster but it's far from "terrible." And there's plenty of room for this to get better with the last two picks. If those are reserved for the ocelot and coati? That "ehhhh" will turn into a "woah" pretty quick! :ROFLMAO:
