I’m in the same group with yall. Despite a spider monkey being on our local zoo, it was behind the howler and squirrel monkeys and the tamarins for me.At this point I am considering us to be soulmates in disguise
A spider monkey would have done absolutely nothing to me. Just another primate rare in captivity (here at least). I have to say I never thought of Sakis just one bit and would still prefer the Squirrel Monkey, but oh well.

I wouldn't have really cared about a spider or howler monkey, I would have much preferred something smaller and, in a way, more "generic". Y'know, a relatively average monkey without too much going on.
That said, I still wish we got something with a slightly different colour, but oh well. The saki is actually a really good choice

From my experience, they just sit there not doing much
Neither sakis or howler monkeys are kept in any of my local zoos (or any zoos in the country for that matter), but spider monkeys are. Just goes to show how much what is considered “rare” in zoos varies depending on where you live haha.
I think the white-faced saki is a good choice from an objective standpoint - any New World monkey is huge and the saki is indeed widespread in zoos from a global perspective. However, being not only absent from my local zoos but also not one of my favourite SA primates in general means that my personal keenness for them is fairly low unfortunately

Besides tamarind and marmosets, most lemurs and monkeys just sit there. From what I've seen. At least the howlers would benefit from the chorus behavior in-game

I'm not getting my hopes up but I really hope that's the case too.
Who knows, maybe frontier updates the lemurs and some of the other tailed primates themselves.
But seeing how the nile Monitor still cant dive im not counting on it haha

My only problem with them is that I can't see Frontier portraying those amazing tail movements as nice ingame animations.In my defense, I've yet to see a spider monkey in captivity
I wouldn't have problem if they limited Spider Monkey animations to few enrichment items like Bearcat or Siamang.
