If the Mandalay is anything to go by, my guess is that the Cobra Mk V won't be released in several months yet. Maybe it will be released alongside the Vanguards update.

If they were both only available for ARX then neither, would stick with my DBX. Until the MkV arrives for credits then I'll find out. Do love my Mandalay though, so the MkV would need to be something special to beat it.

Many years ago I made the conscious choice to pick (own) only one ship, which was formerly the Cobra Mk III, recently traded in and replaced with the Cobra Mk V. So easy choice for me

I'm starting to think this is a deliberate move by FDev.

They're selling 2 or 3 ship-kits and they all have one or two good bits and the rest is "filler".
If you want all the best bits, you need to buy more than one ship-kit.

Honestly, I've never bought more than one ship-kit for any ship and I won't be starting now so I'll just be content with whatever comes in the "stellar" kit and anything else is wasted effort to me.

Mine’s going begging too if you want it. Well, access to it anyway if that could ever be transferrable - I decommissioned and sold the actual ship within moments of it becoming available, whenever that was. Horrible, slow and unwieldy thing that it was.

I bought it purely for the pop-up lights. As you point out, it's minimalistic and follows the lines already in the mk5 design.
