EDIT: If you do buy one, note that the planetary vehicle hangar comes empty - no SRV - a bit embarrassing when one arrives at Jameson's Cobra to discover that. :oops:

Any info on when the MkV will be available for credits?

Up until the Type-8, we were given the date when it would be released for ARX and when it would be released for credits, but after that, FDevs just gives us anxiety XD, I assume that just like the Mandalay that came out with the Trailblazers update without any notice, the MkV will come out with some update, it could be with the Corsair? but I think they haven't given a date for this one yet either.

Oh anxiety, my old friend XD.

If the Mandalay is anything to go by, my guess is that the Cobra Mk V won't be released in several months yet. Maybe it will be released alongside the Vanguards update.

The Cobra Mk IV is not behind a "pay to win wall" it is "not available to new players because Horizons has launched" (over approaching ten years ago).

Out of curiosity, if you had to pick only one ship - the Cobra Mk5 or the Mandalay - which would you choose?

If they were both only available for ARX then neither, would stick with my DBX. Until the MkV arrives for credits then I'll find out. Do love my Mandalay though, so the MkV would need to be something special to beat it.

Both! Mandy on my main and Cobra MkV on my alt.

The Cobra is so fun to fly. It’s my favourite (although not the best) AX ship just now and makes an awesome mission runner/privateer.

But out in the black I’d take the Mandalay every day of the week.

I'm starting to think this is a deliberate move by FDev.

They're selling 2 or 3 ship-kits and they all have one or two good bits and the rest is "filler".
If you want all the best bits, you need to buy more than one ship-kit.

Honestly, I've never bought more than one ship-kit for any ship and I won't be starting now so I'll just be content with whatever comes in the "stellar" kit and anything else is wasted effort to me.

Mine’s going begging too if you want it. Well, access to it anyway if that could ever be transferrable - I decommissioned and sold the actual ship within moments of it becoming available, whenever that was. Horrible, slow and unwieldy thing that it was.
