Which in-game species have you seen IRL?

Asian water monitor has been seen. They’re way bigger than I was expecting, even knowing they’re the second biggest monitor.

Even so, my prediction that maned wolf would be the next one to get bumped up almost potentially came to pass today instead. I was debating between going to Greensboro and Knoxville, and my wife seemed more into Knoxville. Depending on how long it takes to finally make it to Greensboro, though, maned wolf may also get beaten out by black wildebeest of all things since I do have a vague plan to see them early next year.
Still not worth redoing the tier list just yet but coincidentally I knocked out both collared peccary (finally) as well as red deer on the same day at two separate facilities a few weeks ago.

Despite the fact that it continues to not actually happen, I’m still saying maned wolf will probably be next. Either that or black wildebeest. There’s realistically so few left at this point I can even consider knocking out that I wouldn’t be surprised if I make it through 2025 only adding those two and Coquerel's sifaka.

Edit: actually updated because why not

Of the new (potential) species I've seen: Rhea! :)
I have also seen, albeit sadly, taxidermy of Bighorn and Coyote which are both majestic animals! Actually Coyotes are smaller than you'd expect. But they are still majestic when they are in their full winter fur.

I have seen all of the new animals except for the coyote.🫣 I was lucky to see the last bighorn sheep in Burger's zoo before they were moved to another zoo and to have seen all flamingo species irl, so I doesn't matter for me which one we get from this point of view.

Kinda surprised I never uploaded my list, I plan to do so after the next dlc is announced. I am pretty sure I have almost seen every species in game!

Of the new animals, I've seen coyotes in the wild and rheas in the zoo. Maybe the flamingos? I've definitely seen Chilean 'mingos (yuck, that's so cringe), but maybe I've seen American flamingos...

Sakis, I've seen (in pictures). The only other animal in this pack I've seen is when I go to the mirror every morning

Thus far I've seen the flamingo (I've seen all six extant species), rhea (I've seen both species), and the white-faced saki, but no coyote nor bighorn for me. I've also seen (and will soon see) a few animals already in the game, which I'll give more details about once the DLC is properly revealed and the tierlist gets updated!

These animals if Planet Zoo were in Bird Paradise in Singapore.
  1. Red-necked wallaby
  2. Emu
  3. Southern cassowary
  4. King penguin
  5. Greater flamingo
  6. American flamingo

The rhea and flamingo are so far the only animals that i have seen for sure. The saki is a maybe, but i don't recall seeing them anywhere, therefore it's a "no" for me.

I have seen a total of zero of the suspected new pack animals except maybe the american flamingo if an early childhood memory is correct

Of the five presumed animals of the current pack, I've seen American flamingos in Philadelphia and greater rheas + white-faced sakis in multiple institutions (the latter in three different zoos in the past year!). Shockingly I've never seen a coyote either in the wild or in captivity--they're not as common on the Eastern Seaboard as they are in the West, but they are very much present. I have also never seen bighorn sheep which isn't as much of a shocker.

Greater rhea and white-faced saki are seen in zoos. Flamingo probably is unless they're going with an absurd species choice. Coyote seen in zoos and the wild. Bighorn sheep is a "hopefully in 2026".

These are the animals from the Americas Animal Pack that I have seen and photographed:

American flamingo at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
Bighorn sheep at Burgers Zoo
Bush dog at Rare Species Conservation Centre
Greater rhea at Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park
Ocelot at Amazona Zoo
White-faced saki at Apenhuel Primate Park

I've seen most of these!

Only missing the coyote and bighorn sheep, and honestly maybe the ocelot? Genuinely can't remember if I have seen those, definitely have seen margay anyway.

The other four I have all seen loads of times.
