DLC 19 Speculation

Yup, that sombrero looks big enough to smuggle a bush dog out under. I'm getting one.

We can finally recreate this:

i think we are frequenting different places than, most people, even in other social medias such as reddit and twitter are point out the lack of the coati, heck people stop complaining about birds just to complain about the coati.
I love that tbh lol

Maybe they would listen and give us coati for anniversary...

But yeah CC, YouTube, Instagram and here are all pointing out the pack of a coati in this pack that was perfect for it.

  • coyote is truly the most controversial pic
  • sheep and flamingo are just not talked about outside of general clone spam
  • bush dog is getting a pretty neutral or absent reaction
That's because:
1. no one wanted a coyote so why is that the star animal of this pack.
2. We are pretty tired of sheeps at this point. Plus is not a high profile animal outside of the US
3. No one really wanted another flamingo other than some people in this forums. Most are just fine with just the greater flamingo since they are pretty mch use as entrance decorative animals.
4. No one knows what s bush dog even is. I didn't even knew they existed until i joined the ZT2 community.

No, I'm very happy about the flamingo. Getting a New World flamingo improves both regional representation and versatility, and more importantly the greater flamingo was one of the worse-looking base game animals and so the American flamingo is an effective replacement.

pushes up glasses Actually, I wanted the Coyote.

In all seriousness it was an odd choice to be the star animal but I am thrilled it was added. I get the upset though.

To be honnest girls and guys...
I'm so sad for the coati...
Like MANY of you, I've been waiting him for years now.

South America Pack : "oh sad, but it's ok, we'll have other opportunity!"
Tropical Pack : "well ? That was the perfect occasion, what happened ?"
Americas Animal Pack "ok, so cool, they can't not put Coati in it, it's happening, let's g... WHAT ?"

I'm honestly sad.

This is something this pack and Tropical (which is still my least favorite pack roster-wise) have in common. But also last two packs before this one.

It's that they're so ineffective in representing their theme (for me of course, this isn't objective obesrvation).

I wanted American pack so we can patch up animals we were asking for since SA pack released, and then move on. I can't believe we will be dragging Coatis, Howlers, Spiders, Maras...etc into Autmun/Winter yet again.

Latter packs especially, so frustratingly dribble the animals so there's always something missing.

I have been around this forums before base game released, I always found something positive to say about every DLC, but that was also due to them doing very good job.

I'm struggling with the new ones, because even after 21 animals, groups that needed most representation barely moved. It feels like more and more they're remixing rather than upgrading. And it's really not like we exhausted animal options.

At the end of the day it's clear why is that a thing, and it's not completely their fault. But I also have to vent, because I haven't yet 😁 I'm not angry, nor too disappointed it's a game after all, but a little annoyed thay three DLCs in a row give "meh, might buy them later, might not" reaction, while that wasn't the case before.

If it's becoming harder to keep supporting game, we can call a time out for a few years and then have a fresh restart with a sequel, when things are going better.

100% not happening in "winter" pack

Next one is either Polar, Costal or Safari.

They did not include any animal from the very top of the list since Oceania/Eurasia - Tasmanian devil/Wolverine (2023)

1Secretary Bird22834.60
2South American Coati21232.17
3Walrus20831.56

And also ommited two most wanted South American animals.
