I don't think I'll be able to get any further. My ability to focus wanes too qickly at the moment.
Not a good run, either. Progress was slow. Hadn't even reached 1M in bounties when I picked the wrong opponent.
It was a pirate, but it looked like I once again caught a wing. My shields were down before I even knew what was going on...
That sounds like a familiar scenario.
I'm a little time constrained myself so I may need to try and beat your score at the last gasp moment. I think I'm only on about 4M.

Took a pounding against three dangerous FDSs - got two but the third ran away. Wasn't a pleasant experience.
It was quite odd. Some pirates used flak and / or chaff against me. And some came around with missiles. Hadn't had that before...
I use gimbals and turrets a lot chaff is something I am used to, a number of NPCs carry missiles, some quite nasty, but you tend only to see them if you lose your shields at which point they will use them a lot.
Point defense is your friend, I always get a chuckle when they're missiles blowup in their face, almost as soon as they launch them. It's also great fun to watch you're point defense shoot their limpets if you jump them recovering cargo.
I think I've got a point defense turret installed. But it wasn't enough, it seems.
I guess the first thing Morgan will do after the CG is over is to get a better ship. The Viper seems to be easily overwhelmed if there's mor than one opponent.
I have two point defence modules on the Krait along with the Wake and K-warrant scanners. One above and one below. Better to be safe than sorry.
Chaff is annoying but the repeated hatch breaker limpet warning is even more so. I'm not sure if it's the point defence getting them but that's what I assume.
If you only have a single point defense installed, make sure it has a clear line of fire. I like going after the Eagles and Vipers occasionally, I call them the chicken McNuggets of the extraction site, they literally evaporate, though those Vipers can make moves that should make the pilot a smear on the interior bulkhead. Gimbled autocannons track faster than gimbled lasers.
That would require to know where the missile is coming from. Not always easy in a furball.
They can? Quite honestly, I sometimes felt almost outmanoeuvered by the police force Anacondas...
EDIT: Toatally forgot. Thanks to a slight case of insomnia, I managed to get another round in. This time I made it back with valid vouchers. I'm now at almost 6.8 M Cr.
