Tweaks to stats from constructions

o/! I've noticed that many buildable structures are straight inferior to others in all circumstances.

For example, the Exploration hub is outclassed by the Large High Tech Settlement in almost every way. They tie on Development level, but the Explo one decreases security, gives 3 less Tech Level, gives one less T3 points, and actually takes slightly more tonnage on average to build

Tourism VS Extraction are similar. Every tourism surface settlement is worse than it's Extraction counterpart, tanking security and giving less Wealth. The largest Extraction does decrease standard of living by 2, but in exchange, boosts tech level by 2, and gives 3 more wealth. They all cost the same to build

The Orbital Military installation is outclassed by the Security station, Security giving 2 more Security level alongside Standard of Living and Development Level bonuses. The Military installation does unlock the military surface hub though... which gives just one more security point than the Security station and gives 1 T3 point on a surface slot instead of two. Once again, both cost the same to build


I'd love to see a few balance tweaks or special benefits to hubs and competing orbitals/surface slots to give them a space in which they are the best option! It feels a bit bad seeing several options just being straight inferior for the same tonnage cost, reducing how many unique things i'll actually want to build.

E.G maybe the Exploration hub can open Universal Cartographics early, giving it a place in low-slot systems that otherwise wouldnt be able to reach the minimum requirements. Military hubs could enable higher class weaponry in outfitting, and maybe certain hubs can enable unique system services like Materials Traders or Tech brokers

The exploration hub is a tourism economy, not a high tech one. They serve different purposes. But the comparison between the high tech hub and the settlement is equally bad. Tied on tech level. The settlement provides 3 development levels, compared to the 3 wealth and negative 2 security levels of the hub.

Seems like the only hub worth building is the refinery hub, because it's the only building that provides strong refinery links.

All the hubs can at least convert tier 2 points to tier 3. If you want to do that with ground structures without causing economy pollution, certain hubs are the only choice...

Civilian and Outpost have no economic influence yeah, but holy crap these have terrible stats! 9-10k tons for each one, getting a +3 to standard of living and Dev level at the cost of Security.
