DLC20 Discussion (maybe, but why not?)

Could it be a generic asia pack? We technically never got one
I has long given up on playing my pack bingo but maybe it is time for another ingame region
True, but I think they would have hinted at that with species from more varied regions of Asia?
eh even with 5/7 of americas revealed we werent certain on location or theming with only 1 not being arid and 2 not being north american
zookeeper was worse with 2/3 being prominent highlands animals and the 3rd being an oddball pick sitting on a cliff

key arts have lied to us in the past we only really confidently know 2 animals are indian the third could be anywhere from south asia and may not even be new this makes a guess of the theme for the full 7 hard to determine.

This isn't a River-themed pack, let's put this speculation to bed

Any reason you feel so definite it won't be ? Looking at the packs we have had so far I guess we could count wetlands as a river themed pack. Just that big winding river seemed like a big clue to me personally. But, oh well, everyone have fun speculating.

Because honey badgers and lion-tailed macaques have no association with rivers
Check your sources bro

It looks like their strategy is to quickly drop a few re-skinned animals with a bit more care, along with a few minimal changes to animals—kind of like subspecies-level tweaks—to raise some funds and keep fans from losing interest.
But if you look at the flamingo from the Americas Pack, the texture quality is actually pretty good, so it doesn’t seem like it was made with little effort.
Choosing unexpected animals like the flamingo or the elephant probably has to do with new model work being done for Planet Zoo 2.

Wait what, they announced a pack? I wasn't expecting one for a long while, I was kind of off forum lol.

Honey badger!!! And another monkey? That's amazing. Another elephant subspecies though, please be a red herring that would genuinely be a contender for worst addition in the game.

My biggest hope is definitely for more birds, especially a pelican. We could also get another waterfowl like bar-headed goose. And for ungulates, surely the blackbuck has to be in this right? It will be depressing if its left behind again.

Someone online suggested Afro-Asia, I guess it could work but that would be quite an interesting name for a pack
It could still be the Safari pack that many people have requested, but if there are African species it would be weird to go for an Asian elephant subspecies rather the African forest elephant, who's an entirely separate species with a different biome from the savannah one. That being said, we got two brown bear subspecies in the base game and most of the other ones later, and are still missing the American black to this day so Frontier can definitely be weird.

The elephant is a red herring I'm like 99% sure

They're all grey except the last one which is brown.
How exciting, we really need the same animal but brown, totally worth paying for a fourth time...

If we got three subspecies of takin, or leopard, or brown bear, or any other animal, people wouldn't be advocating for a fourth and would instead do anything in their power to boycott the pack.
But when we're on our way to get our fourth rhino subspecies, everyone is excited and hoping that this nightmare scenario turns out true.
It lives a little bit further east and it's slightly more brown, is that why we all want it so much?
We are getting a second asian elephant. That is worse.
