I'd say the skeleton crew doesn't release a pack for fall and waits for next spring. A 9 month wait, but with a full brand spanking new update with a Children Zoo Pack with Carousels, and playground mechanics

Very funny.American black bear in India pack! I'm calling it
my genuine reaction:American black bear in India pack! I'm calling it
Bold to assume most people know there's lions in AsiaMost people want recognizable animals, and now that we got most of those, they want cool animals(which usually means bigger animals that are adjacent to ones they know - such as Asiatic Lion - or something that is striking(Saiga) or colorful(Golden Lion Tamarin) to catch their eye.
I mean, people seem to love weird, charismatic animals. An Asian lion isn't that far from a stretch, especially since they look like ScarBold to assume most people know there's lions in Asia
Oh not saying such things don't exist, just I don't think that that is a universal experience of zoos in every part of the world. That was true for a long time, but many zoos are modernizing and staring to work with sections. Same goes for theming. Inearlier days, a bit of grass and a moat was enough for an enclosure. Nowadays zoos focus on an all around expirience for the visitor, so they start to theme their sections more and more. Hence why I never understood the "but zoos don't theme like themeparks, the building pieces are usleless" argument. If we want to build realistic zoos down the line we need theming, we need "area animals" etc.
Plus, some people want top build their home town low budget zoos. And those are mostly local animals. And well, for people from india, that is indeed indian animals.
Yeah.... I'd fearlessly bet that the average person does not know there are lions in asia. Probably even less people than there are people know that there are no tigers in africa.Bold to assume most people know there's lions in Asia
The most american zoos I have virtually seen are actually not themed much. I'd say the really big zoo nations (including themed) are the netherlands, belgium and germany.Oh not saying such things don't exist, just I don't think that that is a universal experience of zoos in every part of the world.
I think that also tends to also skew towards why I feel like a lot of NA players who may have more experience of that kind of themed/zoned zoo tend to be a lot more enthusiastic about stuff like antelope etc because if you are creating a big themed mixed habitat they make a lot more sense than just like "oh here is a random field of one or two species of gazelle I guess" which is mostly how I've encountered them in zoos.
I more meant that they would see a very cool, recognizable species like a lion, see that it's called an Asiatic Lion, and would prefer to get that animal over something like a Colobus Monkey or Coati.Bold to assume most people know there's lions in Asia
I'm a massive animal nerd and I'd definitely prefer the Asiatic lion to the coati.I more meant that they would see a very cool, recognizable species like a lion, see that it's called an Asiatic Lion, and would prefer to get that animal over something like a Colobus Monkey or Coati.
Same here actually...but while I'm a massive animal lover, my nerd knowledge on all things animals would never be considered "massive".I'm a massive animal nerd and I'd definitely prefer the Asiatic lion to the coati.
I don't because coatis are native animals to my country, seen them in the wild and really like them. But i wouldn't complain about a good looking lion in the next DLC.I'm a massive animal nerd and I'd definitely prefer the Asiatic lion to the coati.
I love how that's such a common missconception around the globe no matter the country or language (well i asume asian and african folks know there are no tigers in África, but for the rest). I wonder how it got so widespread.Probably even less people than there are people know that there are no tigers in africa.
Fair and valid.I don't because coatives are native animals to my countey, seen them in the wild and really like them. But i wouldn't complaining about a good looking lion in the next DLC.
They update the African model, but then add cartoonish Asiatic LionNGL, it would be hilarious if Frontier actually added the Asiatic lion, but in the same update they remodel the african lion.
the fact that you have seen tapir, agouti, maned wolf and capybara means you have seen pretty much all non monkey south american mammals in australia (besides mara and coati which are at a you would of been to) with all but the capybara being in less than 10 zoos the tapir only being in a single zoo.Australian here, I've seen very few south American non-birds in several zoos across Australia. Really just Tapir, Agouti, Capybara, Maned Wolf, Squirrel Monkey, quite a few Tamarins (please Tamarins in the next DLC frontier!)
Slightly off topic but I just realised apart from the Pandas at Adelaide zoo I've never seen a bear, we just seem to not have any bears in the country... I suppose they're hard to transport over here
I would've said today but it seems like it'll be a short while before this pack gets released
the full quality key art normally was released almost immediately after the stream which didnt happen this time for some reason. In both cases of key art teasers we havent gotten more information till 12 days after, the tuesday a full week after the teaser dropped so there was no reason to really expect anything today in particular. For Zookeeper and Americas, we got a full-quality version of the key art at least a week after the livestream. Seems to not be the case anymore
