So, why are they making Paints go away?
Remember the Iridescent Paints, where are they these days?
I thought that I'd got a couple of them, but I don't see them at all.
I could sit here and point out a whole bunch of Legal S### that would make everyone's heads spin, but...
The removal of Items from the Store can, in some contexts, be considered as 'unprofessional' business practice.
Certain Countries don't like FOMO Business Practice in general, so, if those countries finish passing those laws into effect, then companies like Frontier will have to either stop operating in those regions, or stop FOMO Exploiting the Player Base.
It's one thing if its a Collaboration thing.
For example, if for the 50th Anniversary of Hello Kitty the two companies work out a collaboration for a limited time, that's fine.
Since any Paints that would be released during that time would be expected, out of the gate, to be considered 'Limited' Stock.
It would genuinely have been hilarious if there were a Hello Kitty Themed Corvette running around, or even a whole Space Station dedicated to it, LOL.
Imagine that, being chased around space by a Corvette painted in the Hello Kitty Livery, complete with Pink or Red Thrusters, and Pink or Red Lasers.
That would be quite hilarious, but then, I like Anime, so, I find that sort of thing funny.
Heck, a Nyan Cat themed Corvette would actually be slightly more harrowing to face up against.
This is different though, there is no contractual reason for the items to be removed from the Store.
So, why are they being removed?
Rockstar found this out when a small country with big ambition tried to pull them over for 'False Advertising' of their GTA-V, which now no longer has one of the vehicles that is posted on the front cover of the box, and in stores. The only reason Rockstar got away with it was on the basis that the vehicle in question was still technically in the Game, and most notably in the Single Player. However, it was considered as unprofessional on the part of Rockstar.
