The ships are leaking steam into space?

They must be engineered for…thermal vent.
My thought upon seeing these in the GalNet news digest video was “Clearly, these are going to perform better in silent running thanks to this”…

… but posting this, even a brief second of serious thinking - rather than seeing it as the joke it was - makes me realize that it would completely nullify closing the heat vents because that steam’s heat would be picked up immediately. Probably.

(And disregarding it’s likely purely cosmetic for some silly flair because steampunk stuff emits steam or whatever, it’s in the name)

No, that would be the new SRV kit.....'The Punk Gladiator'...🫡
It is astonishing that they have designers who are able to create ship designs which are liked by the majority of players (at least I haven't seen many complaints about the Mandalay, Panther Clipper, Cobra MkV) and then make ship kit abominations (what is that racing one being called?) which just don't fit into the lore, setting and design. Those ubiquitous delta wings aren't much better. At least they look more 'in setting' than the rest.

I don't have much more to say about this ship kit than "silly".
What's next? A pirate ship kit with a crow's nest, spinnaker sails and front loaded cannons? A Roman empire themed ship with chariot tyres and bronze shields?
No the Roman one would be 3 banks of oars and a bronze ram.

Rubernuke’s Delight?

With the love of fixed weapons I am surprised we don’t get biplane wings with struts and wires.
