New ship: Panther Clipper

Twice, and I could ask the same :)

Let me try once more.

At 1:10:26 they detail the optional slots:

Curtis:
We've got one size one, one size two, one size four, you know for your booster or whatever, two size fives, three size six, two size seven and two size eight. Something special about those ones, but we'll talk about them in a minute..

Zac:
You may have picked up on that Chat, we'll talk about those just in a second.

That is, they say they are going to talk further about the size seven and eight optional slots they just counted (two of each).

After listing out the core internals they go on to explain about the two special slots and the optimized modules that can only be fitted in them.

That starts (at 1:11:27) with:

Zac:
The PC Mk II, as you've just hinted at, is actually the first ship to introduce a new module slot ...

And the explanation of special slots/modules follows.

If the discussion of the two special slots and their modules isn't what they meant when they said "we'll talk about those [i.e. the already listed "special" slots] in a minute" then, not only why did Zac say "as you've just hinted", but in fact where did they "talk about them in a minute"?

There isn't any additional talk about special slots. There is nothing else for the promise to talk further about the "something special about those ones" to refer to. Ergo it refers to the obvious candidate and the already counted special slots are the same special slots that fit the enhanced modules. QED ;)

No I never threatened to rage quit. Just that it's not worth ARX purchases if this is seriously what they're putting on the table. I knew there was no way the thing could live up to their hype, but it's like they didn't even try to meet the moment....
Idk 50% (technically 47%) is pretty huge. I think some players unreasonably just wanted shock and awe, which would be a poor decision choice for a ship.

So … er … what do the special slots do? 🤷‍♂️

So … er … what do the special slots do? 🤷‍♂️
They restrict to fuel tanks or cargo racks, and permit mounting of Optimized Cargo Racks (based on what I went back to listen to on the stream.)

The specialized slots (of which there's one-8 and one-7) are what allow for the Optimized Cargo Racks to be fit.

Optimised Cargo Rack? That’s a weird move … why not just give it C9 internal slots?!

I'll never understand why they don't fill it up with cargo racks on internal test servers, write the number down, and bring it to the stream, "subject to change." Ask me again how I know they don't play their own game...
It is for 'balance', allegedly, as actually having something good would be OP.
But, the majority here are pleased, so old grumps like me who like to have fun in a game are just sourpusses...

If your standards are always low, you'll never be disappointed, but you'll always get the minimal effort.

Shock and awe? Yeah, if I'm paying cash, that seems perfectly reasonable.

Hey, that's $60 that can go toward pulling a Showtime Anthony Gordon player next season. Just like taking ship paints out of the store, there are other places my money can go if I don't like the options I get here.

Because if we rage harder enough, HARD, then they can buff the capacity of just these special racks maybe?

R A G E!!!!!!!
They could always fudge the numbers to make it faster. They already fudged the Corsair to be slower than the math says it should, might as well give it some sort of sparkle...
