Panther Clipper MK II | Highlights

The point defence is to protect the cargo hatch on a trader ship. This is optional, but if you fight you may want this. It also shoots down missiles.

If you want an A rated shield or prismatic (and we only talk about a 7 here) then you may need a SCB.

Might be valid for a medium ship, but considering the PC2’s size/status as a large ship and how much cargo it can carry… the mass penalty of heavy duty to shield boosters probably won’t be particularly noticeable. As for the shield itself, I guess it would be personal choice but reinforced might serve the ship better as it’s probably not going to dodge many plasma accelerator shots.

Two heatsinks might also be overkill for SCO optimized ships. I managed to go 500k [ls] with a T8 using a single launcher, not that I would know what you could do with said sixth utility on the Panther then. More shields, I guess? Or some other defensive utility.
My suggestion for the heat sink is for the fighter version. I use this on the combat trader Cutter as well as chaff. I didn't spell out these things as I assumed everyone would understand.

In the event of being pulled from supercruise I guess ECM as an extra layer to deal with Hatch Breaker limpets.

I just want paint for it that doesn't look like the hull was pieced together from whatever scraps of sheet metal someone could find. All of them I've seen so far look like a patchwork quilt, I'd like it to actually look like molded single pieces.
Yeh, same with Python Mk II!

i'm only talking about a 6 prismatic. or thinking about it for a trading build. if i was doing a combat ship i might think 7 or 8

I was referring to the idea of using two heatsink launchers, itself in reference to SCO use, of the poster I quoted. Unless the Panther's thermal handling in it is absolutely atrocious it should only need one for the application. I suppose the second one might be handy in combat too but I'd probably just keep to a single one.

(I also wouldn't build this ship for a combat fit because the only large I use in it is the Corvette for higher maneuverability... but to each their own)

Oh yes, bought ARX a week ago for the main and one alt :)
re mistake, I know, "don't play on update day", but I simply can't wait... I gotta have my first one on Jameson's to tweak literally as soon as possible.
on a more serious note, the rule "don't play on patch day" hasn't been true for quite some time. On the whole, the recent updates and patches went pretty smoothly once they were done. Of course there were issues, but nothing really game breaking and making the game unplayable on patch day. So yay Frontier, I guess.

Uncle Helmut, our gold standard.

I have a question, will you be able to buy the high density cargoholds for regular credits on the market, or do you HAVE to buy the stellar edition? Also, is the intention to only have the special cargoholds available on the ARX version of the ship?

I imagine there is sone kind of specific grind coming to access these on the market aka. guardian stuff. Being trade related maybe you have to complete 20 tax returns for some engineers accountant to get them.
