So he can buy the standard version and buy the MK II Cargo Racks without having to shell out 20 bucks for the stellar version. I'm actually wonder the same thing. Why would you buy them since Panther Clipper is the only ship that can use them?

The Stellar adds a paint job and body kit which (bought individually) cost more than the Stellar (pun intended) price. So he can buy the standard version and buy the MK II Cargo Racks without having to shell out 20 bucks for the stellar version. I'm actually wonder the same thing.
Thank god, I was worried for a sec. This is correct, They will be available to purchase. I'll update the notes to reflect this.
I just got to the page that has Phil's note where he'll clarify that the MK II Cargo racks ARE purchasable in stations. That's what I wanted to know and that is a relief. The Stellar adds a paint job and body kit which (bought individually) cost more than the Stellar (pun intended) price.
If you lurve the paint job & body kit & can spare the ARX, buy the Stellar.
I've heard rumblings others are getting the same message with their AV software.Nowadays, Windows Defender is usually considered sufficient.
It has happened fairly regularly with Elite for a few years now, and also on a few other games I play. It's when a patch is dropped and the binary files have drastically changed. If they're not signed, or certificated in certain ways then they get flagged by some AV software, depending on how they function too. There's many variables to it, but they generally get ironed out within a few days of release.I've heard rumblings others are getting the same message with their AV software.
Defender has no issues.
Elite Dangerous Hud Manager. You can change the cockpit lights in both color and intensity. Please kill these two stupid, unnecessary bright lights on the left panel. Can't see the distance numbers. We kinda need distance numbers in Elite.
In fact kill EVERY bright light, on every HUD panel, on EVERY ship. They are very distracting in the blackness of space (Krait MKII). Especially in VR!

Careful or they'll mistakenly kill the lights in the hangars instead. In fact kill EVERY bright light, on every HUD panel, on EVERY ship.
I honestly never considered that they wouldn't be...I just got to the page that has Phil's note where he'll clarify that the MK II Cargo racks ARE purchasable in stations. That's what I wanted to know and that is a relief.
100% Agree on the lightsAnyone figured out what the sweet spot is in terms of engines & powertrain & minimum shields for a hauler?
From my experiments (no engineering so far):
8D Thrusters are fine. Boosts up to 261 with 7D distributor, 245 fully laden.
6D Shield won't even protect against the most modest of bumps, but maybe better thrusters would have prevented me faceplanting on my carrier.
These two white lights are annoying:

I already have the modules lined up at Jameson Station for the vessel. Going to buy the Standard Mark II and engineer it as I want it. Stellar looks good and offers a good load-out, but you can do much better with engineers and FSD SCO V2 modules.
Yes, if you buy the standard version you can get the PC Owner's Club Decal and MKII cargo racks! So he can buy the standard version and buy the MK II Cargo Racks without having to shell out 20 bucks for the stellar version. I'm actually wonder the same thing.
yeah finally found the note from Phil clarifying that important point, that the racks ARE purchaseable via stations in game.Yes, if you buy the standard version you can get the PC Owner's Club Decal and MKII cargo racks! Also note that paint and ship kit is 16800. Cheaper than buying the stellar!

hmm....First test: for hauling, this is it. Good bye Cutter & T-9 and thank you for the fish.
... ok but now i'm sorta confused because i thought everyone ( "everyone" aka vocal-minority? ) was indeed arguing for weeks over here in the other thread about how the CARGO capacity was "SUCH a disappointment" and "typical FDEV" , etc. . Are u guys now saying, on patch/pay day, all of that prior bloviating meant nothing?PC2 looks better than T9, flies better than T9, carries more than T9, jumps further than T9, is better armed than T9, has better shields than T9.... It's just BETTER
Cutter is still faster and looks even better, has better armour and shields, but that capacity is the selling point. There's just no argument.
No no, EDHM not EHM.
Given I have dealt with scuzzy American publishers, I absolutely thought that's what they were going to try to pull. I'm glad I was wrong. But it shows you the sorry state of the gaming industry as a whole when the knee jerk expectation is, "How is company X going to put the screws to me."I honestly never considered that they wouldn't be...
I guess my faith in FDev is better than I thought.
