There you go, then! Cheap at half the priceStill, at least i got the Cobra Mk4.
Or, as this Abba-leaning thread might currently put it,
The game is on again
A lover or a friend
A big thing or a small
The winner takes it all
There you go, then! Cheap at half the priceStill, at least i got the Cobra Mk4.
I totally believe you.I won't spend a single Arx on that
We'll see about that. Your track record with the PC boycott doesn't do you any favorsI won't spend a single Arx on that,
that would depend if there was a CG with some unicorn gear as a reward that you could just have managed to get to earn it but instead miss out because the paid for mining ship is 60% better at mining than anything earnable in game.. Others will as they are interested, will I have 'lost' by not buying it?
except "saved arx for over a year" isn't paying.I only read the first two pages but the amount of literal gymnastics some folks are performing to deny this is a p2w situation is hilarious.
It's very simple, nothing complicated about it. This is multiplayer game in which a competition is being held to haul stuff, and the largest hauler is only available to those that either have saved arx for over a year or have purchased them with cash. Even if the only reward was seeing your name in the top 10 list, that's enough for this to be firmly in the p2w category.
I'm not referring to people that didn't pay cash money for their arx. So if you saved those arx, congrats you didn't pay to win, give yourself a cookie.except "saved arx for over a year" isn't paying.
Unless you mean by buying the game?
So do I, funny, innit?I totally believe you.
I don't do mining, not even when the egg was paying silly creditsWe'll see about that. Your track record with the PC boycott doesn't do you any favors![]()
Would not make the slightest difference.that would depend if there was a CG with some unicorn gear as a reward that you could just have managed to get to earn it but instead miss out because the paid for mining ship is 60% better at mining than anything earnable in game.
And I find the same for those who insist it is...I only read the first two pages but the amount of literal gymnastics some folks are performing to deny this is a p2w situation is hilarious.

so because something does not affect you personally then the fact that it may affect others is irrelevant? that is an odd take imo.So do I, funny, innit?

I'm not a miner, I have no use for a dedicated miner, unicorn module or not.
It doesn't, and it doesn't affect my game.but to claim it (P2W) does not exist in the game because it is not affecting your game ?
How do you "win" a sandbox? It doesn't, and it doesn't affect my game.
It is a great concept, I'll give you that - someone can have something temporarily that they find fun and those who don't have it are total losers...
When FD start releasing assets in line with Scam Citizen, that can only be bought with cash, and may, or may not, appear in the game as a useable asset, then I will still laugh at the P2W concept, and laugh louder at the folk who couldn't resist buying such.
My not accepting that P2W in ED is a valid concept doesn't affect anyone else directly, so why get bothered by it?
How do you "win" a sandbox?
No player denies things to other people do they? Top 75% is easy even without a Panther. At the risk of taking the question more seriously than it was intended, by achieving things and, as a result, denying those things to other people.

That depends on how important powerplay is to your playstyle, or if they throw out competitive 2-party CGs again. How do you "win" a sandbox?
"With a cargo cutter I did four runs in four days and am in top 75%" said anyone who did the maths.
Even if you have to do 8 runs in a week, not a problem!
