I played about 2 hours last night and found I could do fine even with the current "right eye" bug. It didn't affect space itself, so it was only annoying when admiring my cockpit or the interior of a station.
It's worth making sure you have the latest Oculus drivers installed, just so we can all say we're using the same drivers, just in case it makes a difference.
I find the text hard to read in places (numbers 6, 8, 9, and 0 all look very similar to me) but I find that if I lean closer with a DK2 it does help a bit. It's stuff that I need to be able to read in a hurry that affects me the most. When I am using "cycle next/prev subtarget" that I have huge issues because obviously I'm in combat and trying to select the subtarget I want as quickly as possible with very small letters on the screen!
I'd say that for anyone who has anti-aliasing enabled on the DK2 and finding text hard to read, try disabling it, as despite the "jaggies", you might find it easier to read. You can also "force" a different method of anti-aliasing through your graphic card's control panel, as they all work differently and some might work better than others, despite a heavier frame rate impact.
The one problem that really bugs me is that the cockpit UI panels disappear if you get too close! Suppose I have the transactions panel (left side, 2nd one along) open because I want to check my current mission, and I move close enough so that the text becomes legible. The entire panel disappears! I have to move my head far enough away that it's visible, and if I do that, the text is small and I can't read it! Anyone else have this? Is it a bug, or meant to be like that?
