Everytime I shoot a wanted npc, im flagged as wanted in return. Makes bounty hunting pretty hard as the "expenses" are pilling up quite rapidly

So this part hasn't been fixed with 1.05? I guess I'll continue to avoid interdiction instead of use them for some additional kills.

Do you scan them before firing?

If an NPC is marked as Wanted (without scanning them with a Kill Warrant Scanner) then there should be no problem shooting them and claiming the bounty. The local police won't have a problem with that. However, whichever faction the Wanted NPC belongs to WILL have a problem, and you'll see their ships turn red on the scanner. If you shoot too many ships (Wanted or not) from the same faction then they will actually turn hostile and shoot you if you come near.

If an NPC is Clean but you use your Kill Warrant Scanner to find out they are Wanted in another system, then shooting/killing them will mark you as wanted in the current system and the authorities will turn on you. In this case I assume you're meant to follow them via their Hyperspace wake and have at them without any other NPCs around.

Hi everyone,

Gamma 1.05 is now live. The change log is as follows:

Crash Fixes
- Fix for crash seen during processing of the render queue

Tweaks and general fixes
- Fix for sudden Starport rotation jumps
- Fix for game time getting out of sync between clients
- Fix for multiple stars having same system address
- Fix for not being able to purchase ships even when player has enough money tied up in their current ship to part exchange
- Added resource loading failure reports
- Added telemetry to help investigate why resource overlays sometimes get into a dead state

Server updates
- Players should once again be eligible for their own stock allocation of rare goods instead of sharing one with everybody shopping at that Station
- Outfitting shops throughout inhabited space should now stock a greater variety of internal modules
- Start creating news articles when minor factions change state in response to Commanders' actions and inactions.
- Minor improvements to server reliability, user presence and matchmaking

Thanks,
Adam

Thank you very, very much :)

Considering yesterday or the day before they said they don't want to wipe, they don't know if they'll wipe and if they do what kind of wipe it'll be, it's quite reasonable for people to wonder.

What he actually said was something along the lines of "we dont know, it is probable, so it is safer to assume there will be a wipe."

Of course, the window on the left says "Wanted," I even let them get in a few shots. But as soon as the fight is over, I see I'm wanted. I've playing since beta 1, had at least 1000 bounties in beta 2 as that was the the money maker at the time. I've only started seeing this in gamma 1.04.

Yep I have the same problem :(

Good work on fixing the data corrupted, but another problem happened. I cant sell any Data. The systems I have explored don't show up on the list. Its just an empty list except for the Buy Data.

Good Fixes. but Still my biggest gripes about the game are there.

Sound distortion (not as bad but it's still present when docking)
Maps. The galaxy map's loading time has greatly improved, as has loading the system view from the galaxy map. But if you try loading the system view from the cockpit it TAKES AGES.
Hyperdrive Effects STILL LAGGY AS ****. No dropping out of SC effect as yet, still that cursed shaking screen (that takes between 5 seconds - 5 minutes to process).

A NEW bug that I've descovered.

If your heading towards a destination in SC. Say its 500 LS away. and on the way (around 487ls) you target a contact that's popped up on your scanner (because you're curious) the destination distance will STOP counting down. If you then clear the target (he wasn't that interesting anyway :p) the distance to target (and E.T.A) Still do not count down. You have to re-lock the destination in order for it to carry on. Even though you have all the while been moving towards it.

I love this game. But. There are a lot of things that need polishing. and with the Release fastly approaching, I'd suggest getting the visual effects stable ASAP. the hyperdrive is one of the most impressive effects of the game, and to have it lag is a big disapointment.

I am back from a weekend hiatus and I must say 1.05 severely impacted the game performance for me, even in situations where it simply shouldn't be the case. For example, right now, scooping fuel off a star, no planets etc. within 1000ls at least (intermediate discovery scanner detects nothing), no players in the system, an NPC ship ~3000ls in the distance.

And yet the game is stuck at 40fps, while the CPU is even auto-throttling down because it is hardly taxed at all.

What he actually said was something along the lines of "we dont know, it is probable, so it is safer to assume there will be a wipe."

This quote from 11/24 is the one I was talking about. Well after all the "We'll definitely wipe if you don't stop asking" quotes.

We don't want to wipe, but will do if it's necessary. That might be a partial wipe, or a full one depending on the issue(s) we're addressing.

This is welcome. I've managed to find some 16T cargo racks as a result, for the first time in a few days hunting.

Here's hoping the other modules get some help. Currently the cargo racks are the only upgrades I've found for the Cobra, as I can't afford rating A and B which are pretty common.

To be fair it's because it's an almost impossible question to answer. It's not up to him alone, game exploits need to be considered and other people (maybe one person) needs to have some input or the final say, so the best he can say is 'most probably yes'. Which he said and when he was pushed he said 'Yes'.

What's not to understand?

Thank you devs, you do a fantastic job.

Yep, I can confirm this bug. For me it was not every time. But sometimes. And I did not have a warranty scanner.
I scanned the opponent until the scanner showed the foe as a WANTED subject, which encouraged me to respond accordingly. However I got flagged as WANTED in return.

As I said, this did not happen to me each time, but sometimes. I have ticketed (ID 52315) this bug with a sample video (in the spoiler below). In the video I was shooting quite soon after the NPC was recognized as a wanted foe, but I also had cases, where I waited a little bit longer after the scan with firing on the wanted NPC.

Edit: I had this bug in previous versions of Gamma, let's see if it's fixed already :)

cmdr Nazutin reports :

Unable to explore systems. "Data corrupted" tried again multiple times about half hour.
NPCs were acting weird. all headed to resource spot at ring at once. and after that they all jumped together to another ring.
Well. It was fun to watch :D

Bulleting board takes a good 2 to 3 minutes to load anything.

Well that's everything for now. Back to hauling stuff at Naits system. :)

I think it sometimes happens if the npc fires first. Then it doenst matter how wanted he is, you will get flagged.

Also, them hostiles seems to have gotten quite a buff since yesterday. I was litteraly instappopped by an eagle just prior to writing this. I submitted to his interdiction but never managed to turn and see him before it was over. I was being shot at before the tumbling after the interdiction had subsided.

I havent tried an instapop since EVE 3 years ago.

Can this mean that I can now end my fruitless search for an upgrade to my Eagles power plant? I hope so

Not from what I'm seeing in game. It looks like it the modules in the internal slot, so things like Fuel Scoops, Cargo Racks, etc.

Either that or I'm being very unlucky, as my regular hangouts have the same kit for sale as earlier, but a lot more in the internal slot. My Cobra has 16T more cargo space as a result, but no new class C/D upgrades.

Played it for an hour, looks stable, FPS good. Controls were not reset (yes!).

Noticed a few things though, also things from earlier versions.
- landing does not always pick up that landing signal and you cannot land in any way. Have to cancel docking and request again. This happens frequently, say 1 out of 3, 4.
- not clear what heading a landing pad accepts. 50% of the time I am pointing the wrong way and have to wait a tedious minute as the spaceship slowly rotates around its Z axis.
- under the radar there is a tiny yellow line flashing at random, clearly an artifact. Saw this earlier.
- somebody or a bot tried to interdict me. The sound began to play, but it never came to an interdiction attempt. Had the sound until landed though. Engle starport 15 minutes ago if you keep logs @dev.
- the galaxy map is a little bit difficult to use. Maybe it's just me, to me its too flashy. I'd like to have an interface without fancy jumping and zooming and also not a grid that scrolls with my viewpoint but a steady one, 3D maybe. The galaxy browser in Elite2 Frontier (yes, grandpa here) was very easy to use. Now I don't know where I am or where I was. It would also be nice to see past travels, some kind of a log.
- it would be nice to review missions once you've accept them. Like 'cargo needs to be delivered at starport X, planet Y, system Z'.

Nevertheless E:D is a great game. :D
