On a side note...
Interdiction by planets and stars seems to be bugged with the escape vector not lining up with the visual effects which give you a sense of direction and sometimes your pulled out almost immediately when very close to the planet or star. May need a couple of hammer blows on the server. ;)

I'm not sure this isn't intentional .. anyone from FD know answer? Interdictions seem to leave you pointing in wrong way even if you evade them. That's near of far from planets. if in evading you fly too close to something, you will drop out of SC. It's better than the alternative ... :D
 
Any news on trade system fixes? I can't count the amount of times I personally have been forced to wear a massive loss or fail a mission or get sick of it all and clear my save due to trade system showing that a system is an exporter of a thing, then go then only to find it doesn't have any of those things, or conversely a system that imports things never has more than a low demand for that stock. There can't be that many people in the game to cause that much damage to the trade systems, especially for the lower end commodities where stocks should be in the hundreds of thousands.

Basic supply and demand is not working in terms of what is seen on the commodities screen and trade route info screens (exports/imports).

Sure we could all use crowd-sourced, 3rd party apps and websites to track trade data... but we shouldn't have to do that... we should be able to use the basic in-game resources to get started in trading.. it shouldn't even require us to manually roam the galaxy, manually writing down all the commodities and prices etc..

There needs to be a fix for the above but also feature additions of historical data automatically stored in our ship's onboard systems that show the market prices of all the systems we have visited and trade computer upgrades that help us to work out routes with that information.. if this were a real-world thing, all these systems would be standard for any trader.

Been getting a few machine lockups with this, completely unaffected on previous versions, no pc updates except kaspersky and windows for ages, all seem to be in dock tho having just docked, anybody else before i pull out my pc specs and send a ticket

Machine lockup = completely dead pc, no response from any input inc all interupt key combos and power, reset obviously reset the PC

Loving this, looking forward to release

Yep, I can confirm this bug. For me it was not every time. But sometimes. And I did not have a warranty scanner.
I scanned the opponent until the scanner showed the foe as a WANTED subject, which encouraged me to respond accordingly. However I got flagged as WANTED in return.

As I said, this did not happen to me each time, but sometimes. I have ticketed (ID 52315) this bug with a sample video (in the spoiler below). In the video I was shooting quite soon after the NPC was recognized as a wanted foe, but I also had cases, where I waited a little bit longer after the scan with firing on the wanted NPC.

Edit: I had this bug in previous versions of Gamma, let's see if it's fixed already :)

This bug ONLY happens if the hostile fires and hits you first, before your scan finishes. The scan automaticaly turns to 'Wanted' when you are hit, but does not seem to set the correct flags.
 
one is now showing at Rice Station where I am... now having to farm credits for it.... 30k to go..... I've noticed that targeting ships got a lot worse... takes you to get within 1km sometimes before you can select it...
 
Good work on fixing the data corrupted, but another problem happened. I cant sell any Data. The systems I have explored don't show up on the list. Its just an empty list except for the Buy Data.

I have same problem

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere in this thread but I was wondering if someone could clarify what these two quotes mean:
Players should once again be eligible for their own stock allocation of rare goods instead of sharing one with everybody shopping at that Station

Fix for not being able to purchase ships even when player has enough money tied up in their current ship to part exchange

That does not make sense for me.. In a well established economy the supply of raw materials and parts should be rather good..

Agreed. This is close to my heart because I intend to spend most of my time in ED as a trader. The game does not provide adequate tools for proper or effective trading, currently. It's kinda absurd that I'm supposed to keep notes on a separate system, be it pen & paper or a tablet, in the year 2014 - or 3300, for that matter.

There's been talk about having access to stocks & prices galaxy-wide. This has been shot down by an argument involving radio signals and the speed of light, which is fair. But how about stations and bases transmitting stocks & prices within their solar system? That way you can jump in a system and SC around for a moment while your onboard computer picks up the transmissions, after which you can browse station/base stocks and prices in SC, or drop to normal space to peruse the data at your leisure. Naturally the speed of light would affect this data also and it wouldn't be quite up-to-date. The data should have a timestamp so you'd know how long ago it was originally transmitted.
 
You could do this in Frontier Elite 2, you could send a message to any station within the system and get the commodity market list for a nominal fee. I used to use this when trade spamming to look for stations with no stock of what I was carrying, this increased the chances of me finding a bulletin board mission there looking for what i had paying considerably over the market rate.

Both things work, however I was still stuck with unupgraded Viper as I could not find in my jumpe range FSD. Power plant was there.
 
In a similar vein, please increase the availability of focused/overcharged/low heat etc weapon affixs, they seem ridiculously rare.

As far as I can tell this change actually did that. Previously when playing Gamma I haven't found modules like this at all. Yesterday I came across them several times in the same play session.
 
Just spent a few hours in .05 0 Don't make upgrades too easy!! I like the idea of having to find them.

The trading system is still off, and not an enjoyable part of the game - and I still get spammed once a second by some NPC wanteds...

I seem to get more interdictions, and it may be because I'm further out but bounties are getting bigger.

Congratulations to the team, as always. The rate of updates in this program amazes me!

Glad to see that starports will no longer flip around at random and the ship exchange bug is fixed. Also that upgrades are more available.

For me: still waiting on a fix for System Authority ships siding with wanted criminals in combat, shouldn't happen!

Also longing to see the ability to move parked ships. Is this a bug or a missing feature? If the latter I don't suppose we will see it for release.
