The Route planner discussion thread

awesome, where did this sandro guy come from, he seems to be giving us a lot of answers today

Sandro Sammarco - Lead Designer, he's been here from day one (and before). Mostly (from our end) he provided the DDF with discussion material and yes he's just great! :)

that's nice but make sure that the galaxy map settings stay saved too. i want to only look at hi-tech economies. I go to view tab deselect all others, find a system, go to the system map and when i come back to galaxy map, i have to do it all over again.

OMG +1!!!

And like someone else said in another thread, he has provided more news in the last days, without the typical and sometimes cryptical "PR attitude" than the last weeks newsletters combined. Well done Sir, well done!

Thanks for that tool! Using it I finally found my way easy to sol and lave for example. It's much more useful than the games route planer by now!

Now where are those fellows who said they didn't want this sort of feature because it would be easy mode? For all of you, just STAY CALM. Ignore this thread. Ignore this idea. Ignore the route planner feature in game. Everything will be okay. Keep your pen and paper and keep using them!

NO THATS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! I want you ALL to be doing it MANUALLY until you are as MISERABLE as I am!!! *RANT* *EZMODEMUSTDIE* *RANT* *FANBOYISM* *RANT*

Of course this is a basic necessity that is missing from this game. Instead, enjoy the fully rendered trip up and down the elevator when the station -- or even wide open platform -- turns you around so you can exit. Instead of having something as simple as a ship master's log to take down notes we have beautiful planets, whose details are apparently loaded when you get close to them, thusly necessitating the stuttering hesitation of your view updates. Don't worry about not being able to record the cost of all the commodities you looked at when you arrived at a station; you can always go back there and look at them again.

This game is so full of game play issues that I'm surprised it has gotten this far. E: D could be a real hit, but if it gets launched like this it'll end up being a horrid flop.

I don't think I'd go that far. I mean, it's not X Rebirth here, and from what I understand the game actually runs, and is well optimized. Even without core features I doubt it will flop.

That being said, I'd like the features they forget to include to come sooner rather than later... Even if it sets back walking on stations and things like that.

Is this where we file bug reports?

Gamma 1.05

I accepted a delivery job from Oramus Legacy in Amait to Legendre Ring in Breksta. The cargo was 3 Cobalt. When I went to plan my route in the Galaxy Map there was no way to get to Breksta. It was too far. I'm in a starting SideWinder with an E2 FSD. Thanks for the bug fine.
