The Route planner discussion thread

Thank God for that, A paper and pencil is a nightmare in a zero-g environment. All them shavings clogging up the filters. Bits of broken pencil tip in the eye while docking will be a thing of the past.

Very good, easily one of top features I'm waiting for, as simple as it is. Hopefully it gets some gamma-testing too, for ironing out any issues.

And like someone else said in another thread, he has provided more news in the last days, without the typical and sometimes cryptical "PR attitude" than the last weeks newsletters combined. Well done Sir, well done!

Absolutely totally positively agree with you!!

Is it me or is more info coming out these days?

I'd like something done with the little screen between your controls. :)

+1; I don't know how often this has already been requested, but it can't be requested too often.

Community tools may be nice, but they're rather impractical when playing fullscreen, not to mention the Oculus Rift (especially when you normally need to wear glasses to see anything but use the Oculus Rift without); we do need something integrated into the game.

Great news!

Then they could perhaps also use similar code to show the travel history. I'd really like to see my track in the galaxy...
You can find some of this info in the comms panel. You can scroll back through and look at the stations you docked at. Just wish they'd put the system info next to it, so you don't have to go to the galaxy map and hope to remember which system that station was in. Problem there is the history is deleted if you log out. Wish it would store your last 10 jumps and docks.

Would also be cool to be able to click on a system and add it to a jump list/fav list, and label and save your routes. Time to do some trading again. Pull up that old route and off you go.

I really don't know what all the fuss is about. I take a quick peek at the Galaxy Map, remember the forty-five star systems in order, then just select them as I jump from the Nav panel.

Of course, it helps that I have a bionic brain...

I haven't said this before, but I do read all your posts in the voice of Kenny Everet... in my head.... of course...

...mostly...

That's great news. It's one of those features that I could easily live without and but its inclusion will make the game better for many. I hope that it also tells you in some way if one of the legs cannot be crossed because of fuel constraints.
