So tomorrow we should get these then..

So tomorrow we will get all this then, as i don't see all of this in the game just now.

take part in multiplayer co-op mission alliances, (multi-player is poor just now)
free-for-all group battles and team raids to bring down planetary economies, (sort of happening now in Lugh)
cross dangerous space lanes (not really dangerous yet)
The triumvirate superpowers of the Empire, Federation and Independents will dominate human space and constantly skirmish to outmanoeuvre one another on their frontiers. (seen no factions v faction stuff yet)
Head out to the far reaches of space and discover amazing sights. (nothing much new seen yet)
Multiplayer:And the best part - you can do all this online with your friends (not just now we can't)
-
Why do i expect to see all this, because it is stated on the mercenary pack advert to be in the release version.

Yeah, you might be unlucky...

I still expect some more additions in the release version tomorrow, as even what is promised in the mercenary advert in the store is not fully implemented yet, and i would also expect to see a stable version too, as the last few days i have been kicked from server every half hour or so on average.

What you see is what you get, FD has already acknowledged your questions in announcements...enjoy ED bcuz ED luvs you

Not my questions, and i am not asking anything. This is still advertised in the store thats all. So many people will be expecting it too.

A lot of people are already disappointed because they think that they can not do those things.
It looks like some people expect to press a button and then magically spawn together in a mission arena

It simply requires communication with friends.
CO-OP Bounty hunting and conflict zone combat has been available for quite some time.

(Speaking of which - Nosscar, you missed the day where Kal-Nor, Driz Beransen and I went CO-OP bounty hunting back in Beta 3.04 :p )

I am hoping this is one of the surprises for tomorrow
free-for-all group battles and team raids to bring down planetary economies, (sort of happening now in Lugh)
Not sort of, it is happening. Not just there either, Jita is about to take a hammering
cross dangerous space lanes (not really dangerous yet)
Just because you are so good that you don't find anything dangerous, doesn't mean that that's the same for everyone.
The triumvirate superpowers of the Empire, Federation and Independents will dominate human space and constantly skirmish to outmanoeuvre one another on their frontiers. (seen no factions v faction stuff yet)
The main storyline doesn't start until tomorrow, but I guess you weren't around for the Eranin conflict.
Head out to the far reaches of space and discover amazing sights. (nothing much new seen yet)
Really?:eek:Really? Now that is funny :D and I know you're just taking the proverbial there.
Multiplayer:And the best part - you can do all this online with your friends (not just now we can't)
Yes you can, just not the first one.

I've been playing a decent amount now, but never posted before.

I've been to Lugh, Zeus, Sol and who knows where else, across multiple phases of pre-release, and while I love the game (really, the feel of the game is just awesome), the multiplayer components need a lot of work. You don't even share rewards and the only way to transfer money is to buy stuff and give to to a friend to sell (I think.) Basic stuff.

There is also a distinct lack of combat lately. Every system is more or less the same in terms of what can happen there. Interdicting random npcs is still fun despite hours upon hours of doing it, but I crave more. The story will hopefully solve a lot of this. I sincerely hope it does. Upgrading ships is a lot of fun and the availability of parts at stations seems right.

What exists now is the base foundation for the best space game ever made, but the content isn't there. The story is going to need to be pretty dynamic to fix this.

They will be adding group functionality, but personally I think it's crazy if it releases without it so hopefully they are on top of things. We need to be able to group and have rewards split between us and we need more heavily populated or more dangerous targets to hunt. Relying on pvp for combat is a shaky proposition and I fully intend on pvping often. Group PvE objectives are a must.

Wings (group multiplayer features) will be added early 2015.

cross dangerous space lanes (not really dangerous yet)

What do you mean space lanes?

Fanbois will argue this and that but the truth is: we will not receive what we payed for. Not even close.

Game IS awesome in many ways, that's another thing, but many marketed features are missing.

I'm getting really annoyed with people trying to use the fanboy (even if you can't spell it correctly) shield to hide behind when they give no indication of what they are expecting or use incorrect information to try and make a point. Look at my above post and tell me you can disagree with any of it to prove the OP points. Also what marketed features are missing which they said would be in for launch?

Wings are the biggest loss throughout this and I am sad that we will have to wait until the beginning of next year, but it is their main focus after release.

I am not saying these things will not be in for launch, and i agree with some posts that some of these things are present, just not easy or just not been found by many players.
Just that i feel these things are not working fully yet.
This game has a lot of plus points, but still needs more in the background AI, and more realistic simulation.
USS points that have just a group of ships flying to know where aimlessly spoils the immersion.

I saw a wedding group this morning in one USS, i did not have any missions in my list. An asp with an escort of Laken 9's doing barrel rols around the ASP. A lot os ships are just spawned and have no purpose.

Reading the Mercenary ad in the store, that game discribed just looks better than we have now, and those things i mentioned were listed for launch, with the expansion ideas further down.

Don't shoot the messenger, i play and like this game, but feel it should be better and closer to the promised descriptions in the store page, a lot of the DDA has been dropped or not implemented yet, and i worry this game will not review nicely, which is bad for the future of the game. It still feels lacking and empty of depth right now, so hoping for a lot tomorrow i suppose.

Reviews and new purchaser impressions are my biggest worries. I have no doubt that the game will continue to add and improve with time, but it's easier for those who have been along for the beta ride to wait a bit longer for features to drop in. Someone buying a game off the shelf will expect what it says on the package to be there AND working.

Sorry i missed that, looked really good fun, but again a few added mechanic's such as sharing bounties, or your team tagged as friendlies in the scanner, being able to jump and stay together, would enhance it greatly.

Just a thought. How about, they dropped out of Supercruise to meet up to exchange goods, you have then dropped into their normal space. They're not just going to be chatting away over open comms telling you what they're doing are they? If you're a Pirate then feel free to attack them and steal their goods. If you want to be a murderer, then kill them. If you don't then fly off. You don't know they're flying aimlessly and how does it spoil your immersion?

You can't make a first post like that and not expect people to challenge your reasoning, especially if you then fail to acknowledge things you have pointed out as being missing/lacking are actually already in the game and available for all to see. I don't understand what you mean by lack of depth.

I will be happy if we can login and play for longer than an hour before it crashes. GAMMA has been a DISASTER for FD and it is getting worse and worse.

Depth means things to do. In this game you grind creds by mining, trading, missions and exploring and some bounty hunting and pirating even though much lower. After you grind the creds for your top ship, Python or Annaconda, then what do you do? Well, you can Bounty Hunt or Pirate or grief. I bounty hunted in early GAMMA in a Cobra for several days and had around 300 kills and it got very boring so when we complain about a lack of depth or CONTENT we mean there is not a lot of things to do once you have grinded out 100 million creds.

i scanned every ship in that USS, none was carrying any cargo, so no point doing anything as i would have just got a big fine/bounty.

And i already did lots of grinding, up to a fully kitted out Cobra, and a Laken 6 in the hanger, 6m in the bank still.
It is now i am finding the game lacks depth after doing all the boring grinding.

Ah I see, so you mean that you are racing as fast as you can to get to the highest attainable ship and then suddenly realise that you missed out on the point of the game entirely.

Grinding implies that you have to do a repetitive task in order to obtain something, yes? Well that's not true is it? You don't have to fly a Python or Anaconda. What you do is you play the game how you want to play it, the only need to get one of those big ships is if you intend on doing some serious damage with it. If you prefer mining you'd be better with a smaller more nimble ship, if you do exploring then you'd be better with a ship with a better jump range and more internal slots rather than hardpoints, trading then you'd be better with a hauler. Multiple ship ownership means you don't need to rush to get the "top" ship, as your choice of ship is dependent on what you want to do in the game.

If you only want to explore one aspect of the gameplay and then hammer it to death, then I can see why you'd get bored so easily. Still it's not a new story it's been the same with MMOs for over 7 years now, as soon as an expansion comes out it's a race to get to the new level cap and then complain there's nothing to do after a week, while those that enjoy the journey are forced to be swept along with all of the impatient people. I fear you may find this game different.

See my merged post. What exactly are you "grinding" for?

I did the grinding to get where i am now, a good combat capable ship, a good trading ship for when the money starts to run out, and some creds for insurance and to start trading again if need be.
And yes i did find the grind a chore, thats one reason i stopped and have been looking for action, i have been shot and have shot back, collected bounties from easy npc pilots, done missions, stolen from npc in anarchy space, so i have played a lot.
I have done some black box missions, gone cold and boosted into station to aviod scans.
I am not a player who justs wants that big ship, or to have the most money, i am happy with what i have now, which is why i feel qualified to say the game needs more depth.
