So tomorrow we should get these then..

I did the grinding to get where i am now, a good combat capable ship, a good trading ship for when the money starts to run out, and some creds for insurance and to start trading again if need be.
And yes i did find the grind a chore, thats one reason i stopped and have looking for action, i have been shot and have shot back, collected bounties from easy npc pilots, done missions, stolen from npc in anarchy space, so i have played a lot.
I am not a player who justs wants that big ship, or to have the most money, i am happy with what i have now, which is why i feel qualified to say the game needs more depth.

OK then, well I don't really know what to say then. You have tried almost half the game has to offer and yet you want more (though I'm guessing not all the other things the game has to offer (which is fair enough, not every aspect of this game is for everyone)). I'm still not sure what more you want, looking at the list of things you have done already in the game it seems you have chosen your play style and those different things are more than you get in some games.

I'm getting really annoyed with people trying to use the fanboy (even if you can't spell it correctly) shield to hide behind when they give no indication of what they are expecting or use incorrect information to try and make a point. Look at my above post and tell me you can disagree with any of it to prove the OP points. Also what marketed features are missing which they said would be in for launch?

Wings are the biggest loss throughout this and I am sad that we will have to wait until the beginning of next year, but it is their main focus after release.

Multiplayer aspect of the game, moreover mmo. There is none.

Really? One Private Group has over 1000 members, you can fly in SuperCruise together, drop out into normal space together and (if you coordinate) FSD together.

As I said it's a massive shame that Wings aren't in and I'm not saying it's perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but to say there are no multiplayer aspects of the game is just lying.

If mafia wars was your only gaming experience prior to ed then yes, you might think that ED has nice multiplayer support.

Well for one i would like something to keep me coming back for more, as most will do.
A developing story, a reason to do what i do, more interaction with NPC and factions, to make a real difference to the game world. (not just spawned ships and text based messages and missions, and seeing a 0.1% increase somewhere)
And more ability to form groups with mechanics to enable flying and sharing together.
Elite has the framework to be all these things and more, hence my OP, i am hoping for some more of this tomorrow on release day, otherwise new players buying into the game will soon become bored with it, and the reviews might be unpleasant.

Never played Mafia Wars, I don't have Facebook. I still don't understand your point.

Do you agree with my first post though that all of these things are already present, with the exception of co-op missions?

i do not think that these are implemented fully yet, if at all.
.
take part in multiplayer co-op mission alliances, (this is a fact)
The triumvirate superpowers of the Empire, Federation and Independents will dominate human space and constantly skirmish
to outmanoeuvre one another on their frontiers.( i have seen no evidence of this.)
Head out to the far reaches of space and discover amazing sights. (i have travelled as far as 500 LY at least, and seen nothing new, other than different planets and systems, all stations and ships and factions are all the same, wheres the aliens, thargiods even.
Multiplayer:And the best part - you can do all this online with your friends ( agian, multi-player is poorly implemented, and 400 billion systems, is always going to be difficult to see other players)

My point: i bought this game advertised as mmorpg. I went all the way to Sol to found only one (1) player there. Somethings wrong about it dont you think?

Really a rpg? I must have missed that one. I finally wound my way to Sol a couple of days ago and met 12 other players. So just because you personally only encountered 1 player means there's no multiplayer...

Ah I see, so the ability for players to influence system allegiance had only been in the game since Gamma 2 and the main storyline doesn't start till release, but because you have seen no evidence then it's obviously not happening?

*takes a deep breath* I'm surprised you found that many stations, I travelled to the Pleiades Cluster 350ly from my starting position and there were no settled systems for the last 250ly. I saw stars of all sizes and colours, a brown dwarf with rings, planets orbiting each other in strange paths, asteroid belts in between 2 stars, Black Holes and nebula. There are 3 main factions and the independent systems, but there are loads of different minor factions within them. Do you really expect them to put the Thargiods or the other life forms that DB has hinted about in the game before release?!?

At least you changed your tune on that one, though I'm sure you have a better idea for how multiplayer should work and how you can give people the freedom of the universe while forcing them to be together.

I'd love to know what your OP was, but the text is invisible when using the Official Frontier theme.

Just sayin' (well it is on me iPad anyways)

Hopefully fixed it now, (it was because i copied and pasted from the store page)

The stated line is for the factions themselves to constantly skirmish to outmanoeuvre one another on their frontiers. Not the players, i have seen nothing of this sort. And yes i hope for this in the release tomorrow.

Thank you!

I can't understand people complaining about "poor" multiplayer. You can play with other people, you can communicate with them, you can blow them up, you can do stuff together. I dunno what else you want a game to have in regards to multiplayer.

As for the flavor USS, seriously? It's like following a pizza driver in GTA and then complaining about him not really taking a call and taking a fresly done pizza and delivering it at a home ultimately earning money and influencing the economy with his actions.

Why would I bother when all the OP has to do is not mess around with font colours.

Option 1 - Wait who-knows-how-long until OP edits it
Option 2 - Spend the half a second it takes to make it readable

If you can't bother with #2, then why bother taking the time coming back to the thread to check if it's edited? :p

If you show us a video of those 1000 members flying in SuperCruise together you'll be my hero. ;)

I will be happy if they give up external views and different coloured stars. I want to see my landing gear going down when I land!!! I am sick of seeing yellow and red stars!!! I want to see my ship skins. I want to see attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion ..hang on a minute....
