Ive just had a great morning in ED, lots of fun.
I tried a type 6, but didnt like it. So Went back to a cobra, but then decided to buy a viper & give it the paint job i bought.
Its now tricked out to the tune of 1.8million credits.
Im looking to upgrade it further, as im really liking the Viper.

Whilst talking rares and trading, can you relay back to the team that we are still seeing issues with the logic of the trading simulation, in particular backward trading (buying from importers / selling to exporters) and could do with at least an indication that the issue is known and we aren't simply "doing it wrong" or being stupid.

Thanks a lot for this - the detailed examples really help. I thought I'd just let you know the dev team really appreciate it and are looking into sorting it right now. They intend to be watching this thread all afternoon for this sort of thing - they've got eyes and ears everywhere that lot.
 
nerfed rare goods

trading still lacking, what is the point of having trade data that only tells you EXPORT / IMPORT we should have figures for goods so we can calculate profit.

If the game can not do this hurry up with a API so third parties can create the tools we need.

Thanks for the continued hard work. The game stability has gone leaps and bounds during the last couple weeks, congratulations!
About missions, is there any chance the Federal rank progression missions have been fixed in this update or an upcoming update, or should we just ignore those for a while?
 
Can someone tell us what is happening with bounties that are disappearing from the transactions menu etc after scanning a ship with a K-Warrant Scanner. We are not receiving the whole bounty value, seemingly only the portion for the system you are engaging in. The other system bounties are not being allocated.
 
Does the chat fix include the "Transmission not sent; Can't connect to X" fix?

Nah, I'm still getting that right now. 3 ppl on my friends list online, and can't send text to any of them.

Of course, I am 340 LY from Sol, but surely Vodafone Galactic Comms should be good enough... :)
 
Ooh, if they're looking maybe they can have a look at every illegal goods being given in triplicate on the system/station info screen as well. Not gamebreaking but looks sloppy.
 
Thanks Devs, anyone looking at the Imperial Navy missions? No one seems to be able to find the 2nd mission, those lucky few that did just after release don't seem to be able to find mission 3?

Seems Feds get missions left right and centre but for Imps it's like trying to win the lottery. :(

Someone might want to explain that one before all the players go off the wall assuming whatever they think it is. Sounds like less rare commodities for everybody. If that is true then one less way to make some credits.
 
How much does this improve the chat feature?



I suspected that many players were needlessly put in different instances while at the same location despite not hitting the limit of 32 players. This should improve it.

I would love an answer to that too since being able to text anyone in your instance was never a problem. Being able to text those in your friend group who are currently online is! Also being grouped with your friends into the same instance seems to never happen making group play impossible.
 
@ Frontier devs, when bringing down the servers for an update, could you please indicate how long we should wait before (safely) starting the game again?
