Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Hello CSG allies!

-snip-

Thoughs?

Tried something similar with some friends a few days ago, anadondas appear to be the biggest things they send at you. I doubt that anything short of enough firepower to threaten the station directly would warrant a capital ship to intervene (if it's even possible without a GM manually kicking the thing over to you) Especially because even if they don't kill you, the conda's still keep you occupied enough to not pose much of a threat to anything attempting to leave.

I'd wager more people will just result in more anacondas showing up.

Even so, having a largo group of players focusing on destroying federal ships would not lower the influence of the LDF and o ther federal afilliated factions?

M. Volgrand: that's exciting stuff! Does make you wonder if a decent-sized group of players could have an appreciable effect.

orfeboy: Remember that Michael did say that before Christmas we triggered Civil War 3 times but it didn't stick. He said in a way that suggested we were nearly there, that it was a desirable effect in some way...

Didn't he say it didnt stick because of a bug? Or am I mistaken?

No, he didn't at that point say there was a problem that prevented us from achieving Civil War. Later once our influence waned he suggested they may need to look into what was happening.

Hmmm. Y'all are more familiar with the series of threads about Lugh. Does anyone have the link to this?

Ahh, thank you kind person! It does sound like it was a bug. "We've since fixed that"

One of mnay bugs fixed, that said mikunn had a similiar thing, the local sys auth upgraded there forces, in the meantime npc ships are on the up in mikunn. Ive also noticed now ive been running a lot of dukes missions against sukra federal faction ( purple one) that there is an increase in system scans , fed interdiction and missions in sukra for the faction htere asking for supplies to help with war efforts. Propaganda missions against mikunn dukes as well which are being ignored

Don't worry. I'm pretty aware about what is going on in Mikunn :D. I'm just happy one of our two groups are making progress. I'll be following Lugh's progress closely.

Just delivered some leopoldine to lugh and got this.
Hostile reputation blue arrow up never saw this before.

Overall strange results with the pointers etc.
And i am not the best artist and photoshop creator as you can see :) But do you think if we ever manage to kick the feds out of lugh we will see an "Indepentend" logo instead of the "Federation" logo there (the red circle) ?

Current status:

Crimson State Group 56.5%
Lugh for Equality 39.7%
Dominion of Lugh 0%
Lugh Defence Force 3%
Silver Natural 0%

CSG now has 'pending Civil War'

LDF still has blank 'pending states'

the blue up arrow has returned to LFE

This actually is a drop. This morning we were 56.6%. I realise everyone is doing as much as possible but tomorrow if we could I would like everyone to try and do as many missions as they can. We are so close to 60%. I think if we can attain that there is a good chance it might actually do something. I want to thank everyone who has gotten us to this point. If we can just push it a little more...

Come on guys!

Éirigh as a mhuintir na Lugh!

Táimid i gar leis an bua anois.

Lugh Lámhfhada abú!

Just betrayed another two missions for Lugh for Equality. Why the frell am I still neutral to them? You'd think the corporate oligarchy would sell them a clue by now!

Unfortunately, there wasn't much available, mission wise, for CSG.

FYI, last I looked, CSG's influence was up to 56.7%

Missions! Yessir! ;-)

I did a whole bunch of missions yesterday evening and I'll do the same this evening. Have to say that once you've got about 10 on the go at once it becomes quite a logistical exercise to get an efficient route that completes the urgent runs whilst getting the cargo for the fetch missions that have longer to fulfil. I think I'll take the Type 6 out this evening so that capacity isn't such an issue.

What thoughts on doing non-military missions? If we're just going for influence then it does look like any sort of mission will help...

By the way, a shout out to all those I saw on my travels yesterday - it did feel busier than of recent times which is nice!

yeah the content of the missions have very subtle effects the type of goods moved, teh station, the faction sending and recieving. And it can change depending on about 20 factors or at least that was the devs plans back last year when they put info out about it.

Just btw: Thx to all the Effort you Guys and Girls bring in. Of course there would be other Things to do in the Game which would bring me more Benefits and Credits than this Test but tbh: it sucks me in and i am eager to get knowledge of what it is all about and how the System works. Seems as there are (hopefully) extremely deep Gameplay-Mechanics. I hope that we will reach the Point to shift the System from Fed to Indi. Whatsoever... i enjoy testing and i will do some more Missions for CSG today! Great Job so far. Keep it up! I think we will reveal that Secret ;)

I did a few good missions last night, one simple haulage mission (they gave me 16 tons of gold and trusted me to deliver it!) netted over 170K credits for 5 minutes work. I hope I find more of them for CSG!

I have started experiencing issues with the pirate hunting missions though - which were working just fine - but the last two days two separate Pirate missions seemed to break after I ran in to a "betray" option for them. Anyone else seen this, or is it something I'm doing wrong? Essentially any pirates I kill in the required system get tallied until I get the betrayal option, after which nothing I kill seems to work. I'm going to avoid these for a while, but unless anyone can think of something I'm doing wrong I'll ticket it.

Just so you know, that's a total of 2 aborted CSG missions out of a approx. 20 CSG missions I ran, so hopefuly it hasn't impacted our progress much.
