V1.1 will also have a significant increase in the maximum distance for the route planner. We’re currently looking at extending this to 1,000 light years!

Hi Michael.
Iam not sure this extended route planner will work.
Iam currently quite far out from any populated system. And ive noticed when I face a large cluster of stars, eg many, many stars close to each other. it take the current route planner long time to calculate closest route just to do a 90LY calculation.
I can watch how the route planner work.
Example: if iam gona do an 90LY jump. And mouse over a system that is just 40LY in jump from my location, I can se when its ready to activate as a valid jump target ( red turns white). Then I mouse over another system 50LY away and wait until that become clear. its like watching rings that spread over water until it reach my 90LY designated target.
It actually goes faster to do single jumps then wait for the route planner to calculate my jumps.
It seams it take into account every possible jumps between any stars in an 3D 360 degree area, so if there is plenty of stars it take forever to calculate longer jumps, so 1000LY would take more than an hour to calculate.
