How can 1 guy (mysteron) gain such influence...
Mysteron is, maybe, Michael Brookes. That way everything makes sence:-D
How can 1 guy (mysteron) gain such influence...
FYI Friendship lets me land even with wanted and hostile with Dynamics
On the plus side, we're no longer in Boom, so that's not holding us up. And we DIDN'T have a Civil War we lost, so we don't have to wait 25 days for a Cool Down to try again. Michael Brookes said, Civil War Critical failed. I'm hoping he'll clarify if it was due to player actions opposing our efforts, or if we just didn't do enough.
Factors that worked against us:
- Looky-loo players coming into the systems to check out the GalNet report, trading increased Dynamic Commodities & Law Party (oops, maybe I shouldn't have submitted that)
- Looky-loo players and Mercs (not knowing better), bounty-hunting in HR 7327
- Mysteron doing stuff
- Merc player actions inadvertently aiding non-Dukes of Mikunn in HR 7327*
* On TeamSpeak yesterday, we realized players were running missions INTO HR 7327 from Mikunn, which were likely supporting Dynamic Commodities, Law Party or the other two. We have to remember, missions going from one system to another will increase influence in BOTH systems, but to only one faction per system. For example, if you run a mission from Kwatee for Kwatee Union to Dukes of Mikunn to deliver Silver or a courier mission, Kwatee Union in Kwatee and Dukes of Mikunn in HR 7327 will gain Influence (while the factions gain state changes - Boom/Civil Unrest/etc).
That means running a Dukes of Mikunn mission from Mikunn to deliver something to Law Party in HR 7327 gives Dukes of Mikunn influence ONLY in Mikunn, NOT in HR 7327. It also increases Influence to Law Party in HR 7327. Such a mission would probably be detrimental to our cause, at least as far as Influence gain goes.
So if you're going to run missions INTO HR 7327, either from Mikunn, Kwatee, Sukua or any other system, make sure the recipient is Dukes of Mikunn.
No - it looks like there was an issue with the Dukes going into civil war, but not against anyone - so it immediately failed and you're in cooldown for civil war.
Michael
Michael Brookes confirmed it's a bug. Hopefully this gets fixed sooner than later.
Once more, we've found a bug in the background simulation - the main point of this endeavor.
I usually keep to myself, but I must agree with what Soda and Walt have said:
THIS:
If you're going to run missions INTO HR 7327, either from Mikunn, Kwatee, Sukua or any other system, make sure the *recipient* is *Dukes of Mikunn*.
~
AND THIS:
Consider it a partnership with the devs, so if this is in fact a bug, do not take it out on them. Instead lets just help them find ways to make the game better.
But what is our next move?
If we lower too much the Law Party, they may enter into civil war with HR Dynamic, and if HR Dynamic wins Gabriel's station, that will be harder for us to win it I think.
I'm a bit lost here...
