I support this 110%... and I'm aware that it's a lost cause coz FDev don't want it. Who knows why... maybe the xbox can't do it or something?

Is there a scene in one of the videos right on the front page for elite dangerous where they show the inside of a cockpit and it has a bobblehead doll on the dash? Where the heck is that?!?! I'd pay 1 million CR for a bobblehead on the dash of my conda.

Actually fighter jets do have mirrors just as they were added in Spitfires from cars. I have now no need for it as I mostly fly forwards very well and fast. I can use Flight Assist OFF to flick 180 whilst fleeing. I once had the same yearning for this but it really matters not. Toggle your Target to "SEE" the type of ship after you.

Was a thing in beta that was removed. Sad since it was the only real customization a player could have to his ship (besides paid skins that half the time don't work from what I hear)

Because your car camera surely breaks the immersion of you as a driver. If Frontier designed cars, they would have square wheels for sure

And automatic transmission would be not allowed.

That it is a form of 'space-radar' right?

That shows the positions of all craft around you? Even behind you?

Colour-coded for threat? Shaped for weapons-out? Flashing red if they are shooting at you?

A rear view would improve this how?

Ships don't have rear view mirrors, they use radar.

Agreed. All it would be good for is to get a pretty view of the station you just left for example. The scanner takes care of the rest. In 2 days we'll all have a debug camera, so this thread will be obsolete...
