Did you guys manage to squeeze in the fix for turrets, ala:

So to clarify I meant acceleration not speed when determining how confused the turret becomes, so obviously if you're just flying in a straight line the turret will be able to compensate for that and hit you accurately. Secondly there is in fact something funny going on with the turrets and on investigation turns out some values are set up wrong for them. The end result is the turrets just build up confusion until they're reset by losing the target which is obviously not right. I shall be looking to fix this now.

if im d/l anything i have no intention of disabling virus checkers or firewall no matter who it is im d/l from.

Don't delete the folder, wait until your client shows that the update is live and then:

Browse to the %localappdata%\Frontier_Developments\Products folder and rename your current FORC-FDEV-D-1000 folder (folder name may vary slightly) to something else and then rename your PUBLIC_TEST_SERVER folder to whatever your main game folder was originally.

Click Upgrade on your launcher and bathe in the minimal downloady goodness that comes with an incremental upgrade from 1.2 (Beta 4).

Once done you can then delete your original folder which you renamed as a backup in the first stage.

Downloaded at only 0.9mb/s, but done in 10 minutes - thank you!

Got to the end and then said UPGRADE again.....
Back to syncing :-( 8 mins to go at 7MB/sec

If you didn't wait until the 1.2 upgrade was live then you would have essentially downgraded your 1.2 beta files back to 1.1 in the first instance.

If i remember correctly if you use a custom control scheme you have to manually set which key turns on the camera.

Actually, if it is indeed a torrent-like client, then it might be neither your ISPs . To be fair, my speed has been fluctuating downwards to those sorts of speeds since my initial post, but that would be typical of a torrent client too - if your peers haven't downloaded the content fully yet, it may simply not be there and available for download at full speed... Just a thought

Michael what happens if a faction that expands to a system needs a civil war to capture a station from a faction that has less than 5%? Will the war happen or is the expanding faction screwed?

No - small factions can't start conflicts but can take part in them.

Not at all I fixed my number, I was looking at something else. I am running at 58 MB/s right now at nearly 100% completion. I pay for REALLY good internet connection here.

That is fast, about 500 Mbps, thought my 330Mbps FTTP was fast. Going to complain to British Telecom as I'm paying them a small fortune.
