Calling all Federation Commanders - We are at War with the Empire

For such a precariously placed enclave, you'd think that the Imperial tenants of Liaedin would keep a low profile. Yet their greedy expansionist demeanour betrays them

War it is then.

Oh dear god.... another system up the swanee.
The whole area gonna be swarming with feds and imperials, raising all kinds of heck for those of us who only want to make a nearly honest credit.

Bill

Still I guess war does have a certain glamour, just which side to fight on.... :S

Ahh but there is profit to be made in War commander

Which side? Federation of course!

Federation scum in my beloved Empire!

Point me in their direction and get out of my way. Time to raise some insurance rates.

Let me see, what ship should I wear for this tiny, insignificant player-generated event?

Vulture? Python? Clipper? Asp? Any of those will pimp-slap Federation goons quite easily.

Decisions, decisions, I'm spoiled for choices I tell you.

I say we see their bet and raise them....Sol. An Empire player-generated blockade of Sol for a few hours, anyone?

Those ships won't stand against a federal capital ship,so don't even bother.

But more than enough to slaughter many Fed CMDRs. And if you get enough Empire CMDRs winging up and teaming up with each other then they can probably "push" a cap ship out.
A few ships sit in the blind spot(s) of the cap ship blasting it with energy-based weapons while everyone else keeps the Fed fighters off them.

This is a nice little war we got here. Two minor factions that just happen to represent two of the major factions. This should be a very fun weekend everyone!

Federation Commanders,

Here are the numbers from Liaedin on this mornings influence report.

(FEDERATION) Crimson Fortune Company - 41.3%
(EMPIRE) Patrons Principles - 35.4%
(EMPIRE) Liaedin Electronics - 20.1%

The Crimson Fortune Company dropped 3% yesterday which was undoubtedly due to a large Empire group mobilising their counter effort to this operation. We need all Federation Commanders to come to Liaedin and support in this effort to raise the Crimson Fortune Company's influence.

Talk is cheap.

We have reports of both Federal and Imperial capital ships appearing in the high intensity conflict zones in Volungu. Fly safe out there Commanders.

Pardon me being naive but I've only seen a capital ship a few times. If two spawn in a CZ, on opposing sides, do they fight each other or keep a safe distance? Can one be destroyed by the other?

Sent a trade/merc mission down there last night. After sussing out the area decided to take the ASP into low intensity combat area, managed to take down Anaconda shields but only just escaped with 15% hull and multiple systems malfunctions after Imperial fighters turned on me. Repairs at Jamison Refinery were extremely cheap, and probably subsidised.

Bought a new Type 6 and Viper, and fitted them out locally.

Started selling Consumer Tech to the Imperial stations, even at a slight loss sometimes, and stripping their metal resources to be requisitioned at Federal stations. The tech was all last years models, useless now, but those backward Imperials don't know the difference!

Took the Viper into a combat zone in Volungu, managed to take out 4 ships, and got back to the station relatively unharmed, but will not return to battle unless in a full wing next time.

Imperial Fighters are a pain in the ass, easy if there's two of you on one, they don't have very strong shields or hull, but not so easy to take down if it's on you and you have no wingmen.

Having fun by doing war without any reason ?.

Go open play on warzone.

Other behavior will be PK over dudes with smaller ships.

This is not fun, just bored angry people.

i can assure you the people who have been involved in this are neither bored nor angry. We have actually found that framing our activities in the game around this event/role play has helped us to build a great community and have a lot of fun in the process. If anything it has completely eliminated any boredom that you might get from simply grinding credits with no purpose.

if you cannot see that then I am truly sorry for you and your complete lack of imagination. I can only recommend that you give some kind of event like this a go one day and then see if you still feel the same way.

I have had a freaking blast today I played a war correspondent asking questions in the area about how commanders were feeling about the war. Then I got to witness first hand the destruction that a Federation Capital can do. Fun times

Thank you commander, no matter what the outcome of this event turns out to be going forward, if commanders get something like this out of it then I will consider it a successful operation.
