I'd just like to congratulate everyone who has now located and retrieved one of these objects. A massive congratulations to Wishblend, for being the first to document, and Red Wizard, for being the first to retrieve one. An even bigger congratulations to Arcannon for this whole thing. I think it's safe to say, none of this would have happened, without your input.

I hope the 'logic' post I made helped in locating one of these.


Now I guess that we have the audio and visual proof, it's just figuring out what it all means.

That is a timelapse, and yeah, the middle one, which never moves, is Polaris. It requires a permit, tho it is 500 Ly from Sol, and it is massive and nothing is near it. I suggest you get a UA in a system next to Polaris. Maybe it will let you pass, like a code bar it has to read ?

Interesting thought, but once more, Earth/human centric. Just because the Earth axis aligns with some star doesn't mean an alien civilization would use it as a point of reference.

Wouldnt you show a code how you decipher the message? As Voyager did?

It does look organic, and alive. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a future GalNet bulletin stating one has hatched in He Bo, and the system is becoming infested with alien drones.

Just a thought. If the UA is transmitting coordinates perhaps it is transmitting coordinates to the home world on its whereabouts. If the sounds change in another system than it is definitely coordinates and we can extrapolate the 0,0,0 which should be their home world and not Sol.

First, Congratulations to all! I haven't posted before, but have been following this thread closely since last week. Tried my best to get back to occupied space this weekend and participate, had very little success though.

If we're operating on the assumption that this is a message, then maybe recording in a different system and comparing recordings might offer a hint. Long shot perhaps, but it would at least exclude that possibility.

Gah - feel like I'm slamming my head against a brick wall here, especially as I can only speculate based on forum posts, youtube/twitch videos and uploaded mp3s. No time to log into the game at all!

But has anyone taken it to the most obvious system yet? I feel like sol would be of some significance... you know... for obvious reasons and all.

I mean, thargoids could be relying on human curiousity to aid their invasion. It's probly where the T9 that you ambushed was going. Hell, what about that Dr. Who episode about the strang cubes all over earth? The world's slowest invasion? Come on! It's worth ruling out at least.

I said check all Signal Sources in any system. They have been found in Signal Sources in various systems. The first one recovered in Timocani where you said it wouldn't be. Now stop trying to derail the thread. Make yourself a crown as Emperor of the Clues if it will make you happy. Can we move on?
