Calling all Federation Commanders - The Battle for Liaedin begins now

PS. The Treaty signees are on board. Stop quoting the Treaty back at us. I called the meeting where it was proposed and I wrote the Treaty after the fact.

There treaty in its present state is broken (as we've seen from the responses of various commanders). It would perhaps be sensible to adjust the terms of its key points. Most of the issues people have had with this incident was because the EIC whilst acting in the spirit of said treaty, were in fact violating one of its key points (re: Free travel).

I think that's the key point of my objection here, aside from the sheer arrogance of the piece. It sounds like (and I may be doing everyone concerned a disservice):

EIC: We need a treaty in order to protect the peace in Liaedin.
OTHERS: Ok - lets see what that should look like.
EIC & OTHERS: We've agreed a treaty. Yay. Peace in our time. Have a Nobel prize.

GALATIC SUMMIT: There is now a treaty concerning Liaedin - everyone take note. Everyone has sersiously considered the issues and determined that this is the best course of action.

EIC: Hang on - we want to abandon one of the three main tenants of the treaty because actually we didn't consider particular points.
OTHERS: Ok - if you must. You do what you feel is necessary.
EIC: Hey everyone, remember that treaty? Don't dare come into our system. Pew pew pew DIE you people who may or may not be our enemy.

OVERLY LITIGOUS PLAYERS: Er, what about the treaty and it's free travel clause?
EIC: It's okay. The other people who said the treaty was good in it's original form said we could, so it's all gravy. We're actually complying with the treaty because they said it was alright. Got it?
OVERLY LITIGOUS PLAYERS: You don't actually know what a treaty is, do you?

OVERLY LITIGOUS PLAYERS: You don't actually know what a treaty is, do you?

"Overly litigous" is right. Suddenly *everyone* is a lawyer now. SMH

A treaty is an agreement between between 2 or more powers. If a temporary departure must be made, it should be done with the consent of the other people who actually signed on. If no one who actually SIGNED the treaty objects, and there is nothing but consent, then the temporary departure is sanctioned.

In any case, these individuals don't give two sh*ts about the treaty. They are just crying about it cuz they got shot and want to rile up public opinion. It's the same care bear mentality that we're used to on the forums. It's like they think PvP should be banned or something, or they should be able to travel the open galaxy in a bubble, permanently protected from any actual pvp.

In any case, the 24-hour lockdown was an emergency action, not standard operating procedure. The 24-hour lockdown period is now over. The care bears can rest easy tonight.

I am confused, this is the RP forum,so why are "Carebears" and "PVP" being discussed

Because it didn't start in the RP forum. This was on Dangerous Discussion and got moved by the mods.

That was three days prior to this when it was a mere 2 page thread.
So it went from the In game argument on who the traitors or terrorists might be given the in game arguments on an in game treaty to "They are just crying about it cuz they got shot and want to rile up public opinion. It's the same care bear mentality that we're used to on the forums. Any other attacks you'd like to make on how I role play my commander?
Before I was opposed to the EIC's actions based on in-game reasons, now I just cannot be bothered with any such role playing, with an attitude like that.

Actually I didn't notice it was placed in the role play area, so that's my bad actually. When I made that statement, it wasn't directed specifically at you, but rather the people on certain communications networks who are more talk than action.

Join us, fight us, or get out of the way. But you'll only betray a possible lack of intelligence and lose respect if you only whine about it on certain "communications networks". People love to b*tch and whine, but not actually do anything. So if you show up with a wing of anacondas, and start interdicting people in EIC, more power to you. Just be prepared to run when each of your wingmates are being interdicted by wins of 4 people......or maybe enter the system with your own large posse.

But, my guess is, you'll probably end up distracted by trading and CG running and get bored with Liaedin soon enough. I don't blame you, the place is a dump.

The guy you're talking to, Jaiotu, is Shadow Navy (Fed)... not EIC.

I don't have an issue with how you roleplay your character and neither does the EIC.

Four Anaconda's in a wing? Nope just a Sidewinder, no group either, you said I was expelled from the AI remember?
I have seen no combat action either, I am not going to commit a crime in an Imperial system by interdicting clean ships, but will certainly fight to the death against anyone who interdicts me unlawfully.
As I said before, the worse that happened was some Cmdr in a Clipper tried to ram me as I was docking, it shunted my little Sidewinder through the Airlock and they bounced off the station well worse for the effort.

It was Cmdr Swift Arrow whom I was quoting and replying to, thank you.

Hey... I wasn't attacking you or how you play or how you role play. I simply was answering the question. Not sure at all why you are quoting my singe sentence reply and then accusing me so vociferously.

Oh I see now, I clicked quote on your post to state "That was three days prior to this when it was a mere 2 page thread" for the thread movement here and then didn't separate it as my main replying to this one below, Mea culpa, sorry for any confusion

They are just crying about it cuz they got shot and want to rile up public opinion. It's the same care bear mentality that we're used to on the forums.
