Nice find! I'm actually surprised you found one with more than 1 S-type. Things are rare enough as it is(compared to most other stuff).

Thanks I was super surprised when I found it. Just goes to show how unexplored they galaxy is. That was between the galaxy core and SOL, just imagine what is on the other side of the core, where very few people have been.

Here is a Herbig Ae/Be star I found out on the rim. It sits approximately 38.5k ly from Sag* A. Unfortunately I didn't know such a thing was a record so I am not currently near the system. If Anyone wants to confirm the exact LY, please do.

0f1d0ab4d5.jpg

My current distance from Sag* A:
9047cce1f0.jpg

Using basic mathematics to plot the distances between myself and the two systems, I've subtracted approx 1kly from the distance to Sag* A to place the distance between the two at about 38-38.5lly. Again, please confirm. :)

Date Found: 30/5/3301
Ship Name: Skyprowler
Ship Type: Asp Explorer

Assuming I survive my planned route, 2m in Palladium won't be a problem, lol. I'm out here like "Oooh, that's pretty, that's pretty, too. Those are nice... Wait, these are record breakerss? Uhhhhhhhh..."

Guess I'll take some time at work to study up on the wonders we are looking for. No idea what else I've found breaks records...

FYI, I have a lot of "furthest from Sag A*" records to contribute from my recent trip along the New Outer Arm but it's a case of finding the time to collate the info. My distance for Herbig AE/BE is over 43,000 LY and that's one of the shortest distances!

Still can't understand why this entire thread would not be in the exploration section, it kinda belongs there and would be so much easier to find :)

For my ship details for my current 2 records held, My ship type was and is.. Asp Explorer and my tentative ship name for it is Origin-II

No-one has asked.....

I'll keep it pitched as an idea for the awesome folk who organise these records, the decision is theres ultimately, not us explorers :)

FURTHEST CLASS V GAS GIANT FROM SAGITTARIUS A*

nb: for all of the "furthest from Sag A*" records I hope to get round to submitting over the next few days, the following applies unless otherwise stated:
Ship Name: Nobody's Business
Ship type: Anaconda
Comments: Found during a trip along the New Outer Arm undertaken in May 3301. This arm contains the most distant stars from the galactic core.

Not sure if this is a record or not, so please add/remove as appropriate:

SHORTEST PLANETARY ORBITAL PERIOD AROUND A STAR
SYSTEM: HEGAA AA-B B3
PLANET: HEGAA AA-B B3 A 1
ORBITAL PERIOD: 0.9 D
CMDR M.A.R.S.H.A.L.L.

Be prepared for a lot of 0.0 day records then.

Going to set one here myself, now, considering that the previous record (hottest class v gas giant) by this body has been broken:

CLASS V GAS GIANT WITH SHORTEST ORBITAL PERIOD
BOEPP UE-Q E5-2104 A 1 WITH AN ORBITAL PERIOD OF 0.0 DAYS

Further info here

Possible Minor PoI:
I've found a terraformable water world that orbits an L dwarf and has an Ammonia atmosphere, the result is this:

Can you see the islands? I never saw something like this. Note that i was in the lightened side of the planet, not in the dark side lol.

I called it DARK WATERS. NGC 2353 SECTOR IW-V C2-0, 3818.63 Ly from Sol. Just a little bit over the Seagull.

The system itself seems to be made just for this planet to be like it is.

Orbital Period Records posted but not yet recorded, will be adding these :)

All this time I wanted to beat Nutter's record and find the star older than his. And, lo and behold, I found one - exactly the same age lol. Long lost twins, perhaps? :D

I don't know what should you make of it, to be honest; I suppose that Nutter's record remains because he was the first to find the star this old.

OLDEST STELLAR BODY
PHYLUR SF-V C16-15 AT 18,474 MILLION YEARS

To 'celebrate' the new categories, I've created a new account with my in game name (I used to be Hozzdutch) and here's 2 systems worth of new category records!

All discoveries are made in my Asp Explorer named 'The Seeker'

Congratulations, the new site looks awesome! I haven't yet christened my ship(s), so I think it is high time to do so:

Commander: Jack Luminous
Ship: an Asp Explorer, hereby christened as Salty Dog

Many of my earlier book entries were discovered while flying a Cobra, but I can't remember if any of the few records still remaining in the book were found during that time or after I got the Asp. I feel sorry for my old trusty Cobra that endured through the Beta and Gamma, and now sits quietly at the Founders World :)
