Patch Notes Update Elite: Dangerous 1.3.01 incoming

EXPLORATION is broken : i got 6 UNRECOVERABLE error in 500 ly.

Every major update this is the same thing.

Error raised but it need to be fixed this is rather disapponting moreover, exploration is quite out of range from PP.
 
Imagine the furor if Blizzard was to announce a server update and all players would lose whatever levels they gained during an entire weekend! So, your level 90 warlock is now back to level 85!

Yes, but the ranks in ED are token acknowledgement of your ability to haul goods once or twice. They open no extra content, nor have any meaning in game. They're silly. Anyone for Emperor? Admiral of the fleet? Here.... take some corn to Lave.

I.e. doesn't matter. If you went from Elite to Deadly... maybe worth commenting on.
 
Nice. I did 3 different rank missions over the weekend, ranked up 1 rank in empire to Knight and 1 rank in fed to CPO, and then did another last night to go up another fed rank to Warrant officer.

I'm now back to Squire and Midshipman (?!?). Thanks FD, nice to see my time wasted because of your poor release decisions.
 
Just a total crash whilst scanning a star. Also I note the need to "double-scan" a planet is now pretty much routine - I assume this is a bug which still needs to be fixed?
 
Thanks FDev! Three things I was looking forward to have been done!

Namely:

- Fix for route plotting: route isn't cleared anymore each time a target is locked. Route is now cleared only when plotting a new route, reaching the end of the current route or when jumping in another system which is not the next destination on the current route
- Various performance and reliability improvements, including significant improvements for hyperspacing and exploration scanning
- Missions should now give correct rewards

P.S. Remember, the moaners are vastly more vocal and much, much fewer in number than satisfied folk!
 
The last docked location is the safest location we can automatically return you to, the bug basically caused a loss of your known location. However we can access your last jumps so we'll move the 90 odd affected commanders to their last jump that we can access which should put them close to where they were. This will happen sometime this afternoon, so hold off playing the game until this is done! Otherwise you will be magically teleported.

Thank God everybody reads the forum. So all affected CMDR's will stop playing. By the way, i started playing again AFTER the today update half way to the north american nebula -> disconnect -> back at a federal station. Cool "Fix"!
 
So basically, all the fixes you have made have been complete (explorers being reset, ranks being reset, etc) and all the broken things you've left in the game? Gj. I did not pay for Beta access for the Beta of updates to not mean anything. The majority of Beta testers TOLD YOU to keep the game in Beta as it wasn't ready for release. You released it and now you have to wipe a lot of progress? Class act. How about a public apology that you released 1.3 too soon and should have listened to the Beta testers, who pay YOU for the privilege of testing your broken ass game.
 
Ranks broken, people got multiple ranks with only one mission now (see bugs section), punishing player with ranks, exploration broken (cannot jump 15 times without unrecoverable server error), more and more stuttering with a HIGH end card 970 gtx.

What's the point !!??

I am really worried.
 
Am i the only one that sees that the whole quick ascension in ranks was just a bug and it shouldnt be allowed to remain in the game ?
I am one of the people that went from viscount to DUKE within the weekend without really any effort, just doing the random ascension popping up missions. But i saw that this wasn't right, since to gain a rank i would usually need to make like 20-30 missions before an ascension mission would pop up. So i don't get why people want to keep the FALSELY gained ranks.... And i also don't get why FD bends on their will and give them back. As other people said, if you want to be Duke or baron or whatever, work for it, don't expect to get it over a bugged weekend of ascension mission continuesly popping up all the time ...
This is true. But, as expected, whiners will get their "so hardly earned" ranks back. Unfortunately.

I just spent the day TODAY busting my ass to get to Count in the Empire and suddenly I'm Master again after the patch... err no thanks... WTH?

Thanks for your patience while the servers are down today... (should be back up at approximately 16.30PM BST)

Here's a list of the changes in Elite: Dangerous 1.3.01:

Client Changes:

- Fix soft lock loading system map
- Fix for route plotting: route isn't cleared anymore each time a target is locked. Route is now cleared only when plotting a new route, reaching the end of the current route or when jumping in another system which is not the next destination on the current route
- Fix NAT handling for text chat
- Art tweaks for vibrant and tactical paint jobs
- Fixed Hangar cameras for DiamonbackXL so the right camera is focusing on the appropriate place
- Increase base repair cost for Diamondback Explorer as it was too low
- Fixed miner loadout with missing mining laser
- Updated Hitman Attacks AI archetype to be more aggressive
- Altruism Missions Will now remove all cargo upon completion
- Massacre Killcounts now update and display correctly across panels
- Make the nearby faction station generator check for permits
- Text fixes for branching massacre and assassination missions
- Audio: enabling diamondback other soundbanks on mac
- Fix HeatSinkLaunchers firing multiple heat sinks
- Fix missing space in news item headers
- Fix a bunch of UI text issues


Server Changes:

- Fix rank benefits for reducing fines and bounties from committing crimes
- Various performance and reliability improvements, including significant improvements for hyperspacing and exploration scanning
- Fix some missing ships that should have been stocked by various powers
- Commanders who cannot load back into the game after a certain type of Hyperspace failure should be automatically rescued to one of the last 5 systems they jumped from and their fuel tanks filled.
- Fix faction influence levels when many factions experience significant influence drops in a given star system

To address problems from the above issue, all minor faction influence levels in all star systems have been reset back to their state just before the release of 1.3

For those Commanders affected by the problems with military ranks, their Federation and Empire progression has been restored to the state just before the release of 1.3

Mission Server Changes:

- Missions should now give correct rewards
- Massacre missions should now payout correct reward
- Removed redundant TimeLeft element from Abandon Branch ship panel
- Reduced NPC Messenger spawn chance
- Various text fixes

No Word on the Ship Integrity bug where you pay more then if you were blowing yourself up.


Example:

1% repair on a Python is as seen below:

1% = 113957cr
10% = 1139570cr
100% = 11395700cr

Whereas the Insurance of 5% for getting destroyed is 4.7 millions....


Also the integrity "Wear" is way to fast, each 4 to 5 jumps you lose 1%, meaning if you jump 100% you will blow up technically.




We need a word on this issue, Anaconda, Type-9 etc have seen the same issue happening... whats the call on that? Please Frontier, any fix in sight?
