Patch Notes Update Elite: Dangerous 1.3.01 incoming

The Fundamental game is now "Nerffed"

The Basic of the whole game and the previous games was too reach a Ranking of ELITE.

Now major changes between the 1.2 and 1.3 versions combat editions, means that 1.2 was an easy ELITE Rank to gain but 1.3 will be much harder.
Elite ranking was supposed to mean something, now it has been totally undermined.
Changes that have been ill thought out before implementing will kill this game faster than a dead server.
 
Well so far have had 3 hard freezes, no error on the process just an absolute lock up of the game (this is something I haven't even experienced in pre-release..). Also now experiencing stutter again even though when 1.3 arrived it had been all but removed. Oh and to just add a nice cherry on top of all this, even though I had no issues whatsoever before in terms of being "stuck" in any systems like some people I got disconnected from the server during a jump, logged back in to find I had been teleported 2.5k ly back into civilized space. So far not really loving 1.3.01..Also any chance of the server hosting the cartographics data being given a little more juice...it's taking between 5-10 minutes to sell a single page.

Is that no they won't lose their exploration data or no their data won't remain intact?

Tip #1 - when you fix a bug give some thought to the consequences, for different sorts of players (e.g explorers) and not just your own and/or some typical player, to avoid having to fix it again later

Tip #2 - when writing release notes give some thought to clarity and wording to avoid having to respond to further questions and/or outrage later

Tip #3 - when answering questions like the above, one word answers might seem like a good way to save time, but they're really not

The patch notes were perfectly clear and it was obvious that not only would they not lose their data the wouldn't be returned to the last docked system either but at some point in their last 5 jumps....

it seems to work on solo. yay.

they nerfed the resource extraction sites. in 15 minutes all i got were two adders and two sidewinders. not much fun, really.

Hmm, in 30 mins last night I got 2 Adders, 2 Dropships and a Clipper (as well as a plethora of Cobras, Eagles, etc) all in one instance (ie I didn't reset the RES).

Where do the patch notes suggest RES have been nerfed?

Tip #2 read the whole thread and you will see the patch notes were edited.

Wow ok... I did read the whole thread however I didn't realise the implication of the "new commander rescue system" bit in the edit note... So before it said they were going to return you to your last docked system? are you serious? No wonder people were a little upset... I was seeing all this vitriol and getting wound up. Sorry if I was unduly harsh to anyone.
 
My Empire ranks came back after an hour or so - didn't need to do any additional missions. And I flew a few combat missions which all gave me full reward. It's so nice to be given over 300k for destroying a few pirate ships : )

1.3 under general tweaks and fixes

Updated all resource extraction scenario CSM's to heavily reduce the number of NPC's
 
did a federation rank increase mission (delivering 5tn fruit and veg ... okay) and nothing changed.
not long after had the broken mission board again with the $## variables and 1cr missions showing so had to log out.
doesn't look very fixed to me.
yes I reported this again!
 
Means,
- The problem with Limpet drones cheasing the same piece of ore and making is really diffcult to be efficient will remain?
- The new issues for wing members protecting miners and receive a fine by a friendly fire accident and can not help protecting than for 6 days will also stay?
- the reduced spawn of bigger ships in metalic and metal rich resource sites will remain?
BTW: I do not like the new Bunty / Fine system it should apply for PvP kills but not for PvE
 
instancing is still broken... me and a friend who were in the same room, sharing the same router, going through the same gateway, sharing the same wire, connecting to the very same ED server (IP and Server#)... couldn't sent messages to each other, couldn't send us wing invites, and when a third could sent us a wing invite to both of us and managed to see each other on the wing HUD, we were not able to communicate in any ways, or see ourselves in the same instance

good job FD... you fix one thing breaking 50
 
Just been poking around in a "HIGH INTENSITY" resource Extraction site.... 1 hour plus and only 6 targets, 1 dropship, 2 cobra's, an Adder and eagles.

Reset twice but no joy, finding it hard to stay awake.
 
my yesterday's exploring experience after 1.3.01
double scanning, double honking, jump crashing...

ps: my ammo for heatsinks and AMFU fully loaded 20K LY from civ. ? Is this some bug or intended ?

You both use different ports for the game? Because you need to, otherwise it won't work.
 
So, I read about this ship integrity problem. But, in practical use, what does it do? What is it for if you reach 0% and don't explode and can continue flying? Am I missing something? Wow! This whole mess is confusing! Missions not giving the reward promised. Ranks attained too quickly. Ships losing their integrity and costing an arm and a leg to restore!

If I recall correctly, ship integrity affects your hull hit points, up to a penalty of -30% at 0% integrity. So at 0% integrity your ship will be destroyed at 70% of the damage it would take to kill it at 100% integrity.
