Greetings CMDRs,

This was an INSANE battle I had in my Scout against 6 other CMDRs at the High Intensity Resource Extraction Site in Beta-1 Tucanae. Mad respect to everyone who took part in this awesome showdown!

Congrats for a very good fight. After this video i will try to get my but off from courier and try the scout.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I do like the toughness of the courier. However, no current ship is as fun to fly as the Scout. You will not regret it. Prepare to have a blast!

I am shocked you kept that thing's tiny shields up for as long as you did. Watching the cannon shells explode against your cockpit was cool. So was seeing the PA fly past your face and the frag cannon light up your shields.

Why don't you double up on chaff?

Are those extra 22 MJ of shielding noticeable? Certainly you would mitigate more damage through a second chaff launcher?

I suppose... it makes it easier to use SCB efficiently? I'm having a hard time visualizing this.

LOL I do wish you'd stop posting your videos because the first thing I do is go and try out your loadouts

I actually had a "Z4 tribute fight" last night where I was making my friend in the same room (playing Elite

) laugh by doing impressions of your videos as I chased away the defeated commander in my 'shotgun' Asp and shouted: "GET OUT OF HERE!" (we are both from Britain so it sounds really odd when we do US accents).

What Power Play faction do you belong to, btw?

Pretty good keeping shields up - when you were checking the modules was that to switch stuff off for shields to recharge quicker?

i dont think they were all gunning soley for you - it was like a free for all.

I take it there arent repair nanobots to fix the canopy then?

I have to ask, I see all these video's of people with pure multi cannon setups and granted I haven't done much pvp but it would seem to me that a person that is ready for a pvp fight would use a mixed setup to take out shields quickly and then pummel hull? shields needing to be taken out quicker because of shield boosters? which non of those seemed to have?

I've noticed that too and I'm guessing it has to do with power management. No juice for beams when you're running cells and boosters, not to mention a preference for keeping pips in engines and systems.

This is correct. Multicannons and cannons are extremely energy efficient, and it means that you can keep pumping out damage non-stop while keeping 4 pips in SYS (or ENG).

Great video looks very intense and fun
However I really feel that multicannons might be a little bit too strong vs shields, as it stands now the only really good pvp setup is stacking them so you don't have to worry about power to weps and have plenty of powerplant juice leftover for boosters. Maneuverability is of course also key, but even then I worry about a dual large pulse vulture going up against a build like this and looking gimped. Energy weps aren't really good for use outside PvE bounty hunting due to the energy drain making it difficult to stack shield cells and the need for pips in weps to function well and only good there because they don't use ammo so you can stay in the field popping NPC's longer. I'm not one to ask for nerfs but I think something must be done to make other builds more viable.
Just my opinion. That said I just clicked follow on a certain commanders twitch tv channel

I'm not a fan of (multi)cannons.. but seeing you use 4 at once was pretty cool.
Unbelievable how long your shields stayed up, even when the python was present.

Good watch... also 'Screw bugging out!' amused me greatly

Fun to watch but seeing someone try to take shields out with Multi-Cannons is quite funny. We have these things called lasers for that. Multi-cannons are for hulls lol

Errrr do you even play the same game? did you watch the video? Multi-Cannons are poor against shields. Minutes to get someone's shields down? C3 lasers will have those same shields down in seconds.

You have a valid point. However, the extra 22 MJ's of shielding is in fact noticeable. Especially so in 1v1 battles against double chaff users.

Their chaff always runs out at some point where as my extra shield booster never leaves me.
