Abandoned New Trading Tool: ETN

I've found that the data isn't too fresh either. It would be amazing if you could have it update more frequently.

Bump, this thing is really good. Can't the OP please let us know when they intend to update it, I really like the way it works and want to use it regularly

Might I suggest that until you have implemented filtering/curating the data that you connect to the EDDN as before but only use the data coming from the OCR Error Free (OEF) aka mobile api tools. Each message has fields which states software and version used by the sender. That OEF data is 100% correct.

Definitely ^^
It would improve things for the time being.

Hey folks, big update today! Just went live.

Key changes:
1. EDDN data is back on again! All sources are supported. Non-OEF tools are filtered aggressively.
2. Custom limits on minimum and maximum trades in route. The default range is [2,10] (or [1,10] if you set a destination). Max is 16.
3. Good error reporting! When a query fails now you know why.
4. Improved hotkeys. Comma and period now control how many routes are shown. Also hotkeys are more reliable.
5. Increased number of result returned (only visible if you click show more routes). Punish your browser!

Other goodness:
6. Misc UI polish
7. Updated help text
8. Small bug fixes

Let me know what you think.

will this work on a tablet or phones browser?

thinking of adding this onto a screen inside my cockpit lol....

Yeah that was one intended use :) It works great with touch. I've tested Chrome on Android and both Chrome and Safari on iOS. Any modern browser and reasonably powerful device should work. On slower devices the map might be sluggish at first but it should stabilize after a few seconds.

Good suggestion. I ended up implementing aggressive filtering that is turned down for EDAPI, EDCE and EDMC.

hiya ,just to say it works brill on a ipad using safari`s browser aswell.

Awesome job. I use your tool regularly on a W8 tablet to track trade routes.
New "aggressive filtering" is also great, as I did not find incorrect data up to now.
Usabilty and visual rendering are also great... I love to see this kind of community products.

Awesome!
Works great! Thanks for update. :)

Very nice! Thrudd and eddb might be dumped!

One thing is that it consistently underestimates the number of jumps my ship needs; I've set the tonnage correctly, then tried increasing it until I got the right number of jumps, but that winds up altering the route instead! Not that it especially matters, I've been following the routes anyway.

I heard someone else mention the same problem. I'll take a look.

That's what I like to hear :)

I tried this last night and I must say it is absolutely brilliant. All the other tools are good such as Thrudd and Slopey, but this is a lot simpler for a moron like me, and shows me exactly where I need to go, love the map by the way. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.
