Coriolis.io - A new ship builder and comparison tool

I love your program, but are you sure the Clipper speeds are correct?

http://coriolis.io/outfit/imperial_...f.Iw18aQ==.IwBhrSuiyA==?bn=Mossfoot's Clipper

My Boost speed is WAY higher than that.

The speed and boost speeds of all ships are the listed speeds, i.e. not calculated based on Thrusters, mass, etc. This is a known issue, but unfortunately no formula is publicly known for this.

However, I am trying to crowdsource data to help 'discover' the function/formula.

Please help contribute data!!

Thanks! I'll see what I can do when I have time. Hope others do too :)

Great job with this :) Wasn't too sure about the colour scheme to begin with but have grown to like it and not to mention the actual layout and system works great. Many thanks!

Rate of Fire (ROF) is listed under each weapon (if applicable).
Damage per second (DPS) is listed under weapon and also includes the DPS in Mega Joules (Mj) is the data is available.

Are you asking about total DPS? Not sure what total/overall weapons fire rate would be.

Yeah sorry, was quite late when I wrote that last night, an average DPS in the top listing would be great. So I can compare the difference in damage output between ships.

I have a saved build, the ship I'm using now. Load it and want to upgrade. The total cost is there and updated if I change a component. But is there an easy way to see the actual difference, or what the new build would cost compared to the old one. Easy enough to do manually, but would be nice to see on screen.

My suggestion;
In "Components / Cost" table, add a new colum "Change" before "Cost" which displays the difference in cost. And a total for difference on the same row as the total cost.

So for example I select the default Cobra MK III build. If I then upgrade both 3E 8t cargo component to 4E 16t, the two colums for those components would now show +23765 in the "Change" column. And the total for change would show sum of all changes in price i.e. your actual upgrade cost. If you save the build, the change column gets reset. Hope it was understandable, not good at explaining.
