If that would be the case things would be easier, but right now it is voted by who has the most forum power and friends who can be put in strings to dance their way. The game itself should provide the option to comment the preparations by agree, disagree.
But I will not like being in power which is stuck around one system and only 30 LY around that. There is a space out there, where we could at least have one operating station with a function to search, and to explore.. But no NO NONO NO ..
Extremely far points should be rewarded with "Explore / Scouting points".

I think PP is not failing. It's doing just what it was designed to do.
Some groups are organised and have a plan. Some players don't have a group to organise and will need to join the gang
(or do their own thing) - it all works.

Hi. I'm active over there and here.
Let me dispel some myths, that many of you have already understood, because they are so obvious.
The OP quotes not orders but suggestions. Every single one of the main characters trying to get things moving over there is realistic. If you look through the posts and all the threads (all powers are open to scrutiny) you will see a very honest assessment. The Winters Reddit thread can only reach a small minority of total Winters players. That is a given. It's a frustration. However in no way do the more involved members of the Winters Reddit claim to dictate anything.
I know who the OP is. Different user name, same MO. He deleted himself from the Winters Reddit today. Why? He would have you believe it was because he was victimised. Not the case. Very bitter, and I simply do not know why.
Make your own mind up.
I spent this evening playing PP and I was stunned at what happened. I was fortifying Simyr and came across a well known and respected poster here, who was flying opposition there. I sent out a Reddit and in game call. Inside 15 minutes we had a heavy wing assembled and on its way. Whether it was instancing or they had left, nothing became of it, but I felt hugely proud of what a group of strangers tried to do.
Xxxxxx might remember Simyr and Dreadnought in the Anaconda
Strangers. No one forced anyone to do anything. They just came together for a common cause.
And there is the lie in the OPs view. ED and PP would only give fools the idea they can give orders. The guys at Winters Reddit....not fools. They are providing info for those that want to listen, or not. The OP popped in, told everyone what fools they were, got angry, and left.
I speak for myself. Not Winters. Not Reddit Winters.

You have no idea how PP works:
"I suggest we move our capital to new location because holding this position will end our side." -> you cannot move your HQ
You simply have no idea how the game works when you can't make the difference between a player and a NPC:
"Their pilots were shouting at me that I carry a wrong flag." -> this is a flavor line used by NPCs

I'm sorry, but to play a team sport and argue that others are ruining the game for you, because they have spent hours learning the system and developing strategies to help the team win is just... Well... Wrong.
This sounds like my five year old upset and having a tantrum, because they lost at Uno after refusing to listen and understand the rules. Elite is a big game. If you don't want to help your faction, quit it and go do one of the other many things you can do. Sounds like your faction would have more success without you.

Its a gimmick i think the idea was for it to boost moral, feel its done the opposite.

I am sorry that I didn't let you become the military dictator that you wanted to be on my website that I paid for, that I put long, long hours recruiting and reading and studying to make it all work. Operation Winter is a group effort even if its seems I am the one holding the ball it is not my intention now, nor was it ever to be that way forever. I am forming a panel of 3 Assemblyman and I have loads of Departments each headed by a Director and all these positions are and will be elected positions. Democracy is and will always be first and foremost a part of MY site and if it isn't I will shut it down. Now go start your own darn website spend your own darn money and your own darn time and be the Military dictator you want to be provided you can find any forces to put up with you that is I would defect in a heartbeat even if it meant getting shot that is all I can say.
And if you want to keep this up guess what I got all and I mean all your posts, threads and PM's and if I release them people are going to understand what kind of bully you were to me in private (strange how you didn't broadcast your dissent out in the open oh wait you couldn't could you?)
