The title says it all....
If PC players could have honed their combat skills in a CQC arena during or prior to release...how combat skilled would the player base be once let loose into the galaxy?
Im betting in a 6 months to a year...if there was ever a competition of pvp skills on mutual grounds, xbox players would reign...
dont get me wrong..Im not a console pilot, I love my PC...but it just makes sense that with CQC being released first on xbox,, it will enhance the combat abilites way more than pc players had when released.
would be cool to have a joint arena one day so pc gamers could battle xboxers
Xbox players will be better than PC players...because of CQC
IMO the three most important things that decide a good player are first reaction times, second reflexes and third game knowledge.
If they have the auto aim feature they seem to be provided with most games that involves aiming, I'm sure they will.
1: Hotas users will eat controller users
2: Elite isn't purely based around combat (although I wouldn't expect console owners to understand that)
3: FA off would give us another advantage
Xbox players will be better than PC players...because of CQC
We're all it it together.![]()
I don't agree.
Wits, cool headedness, and knowledge--plus the deductive reasoning ability to such it into accurate, on the fly, predictions of, and counters to, your enemies actions--easily trump reaction times/reflexes.

Types of ships aside...Im talking about combat abilities...to know when to move your pips, know what to do when shields are low...these type of skills are honed faster through arena than open pve or pvp

Remember....xboxers are from a realm of battlefield and cod for years...I know that we with pc's think that the hardware may make a difference...but the xboxers are born into a pvp enviroment...not so much for pc
it only makes sense that if you have a "training camp" such as CQC, it will enable you to have better skills than without.
I mean...how, exactly is a console player supposed to change power configs, toggle flight assist, manipulate the throttle, use vertical/lateral thrusters and use both primary and secondary fire at the same time? I can do that with my cheap-ass Fly5, but I can't see how it's possible with a console controller. These are all tiny things which give you a massive edge in combat.
