Wash your hands after if you do.

Ok, it's CMDR Britain. I have one in my hold right now you can have.
Feel free to blow it up in the name of science if you need to, I can get more.
(Although I've tried blowing them up and nothing seemed to happen, no sparklies, nothing. =( )
You can shoot out my FSD if you want in return for this misjump test.

Logging in in 30 minutes CMDR!
Best of the thread award!
I still think carrying the UA to a specific destination is what might be needed. We know the UA transmits its location - so perhaps it just needs to be taken to the correct location.
He's not going to tell us because of course he doesn't *know* anythingHe won't say anything other than "squelch" or whatever that noise is that he squirts out.
Can we make an Occam's Razor meme?

Nilreb refers to a possible "5th".
It would be good to collate the other 4 I think.
I know. It hapened quite often.
In FE2 and. FFE it was not included.
I don't think it's in ED either, but I would be happy to be proven wrong.
I just don't want UA holdes to risk their ships by jumping with damaged drives.
Because, if you listen to him, first he talks about the UA, about the fact that we started to do "something" and we stopped, leaving it half-made, than he talks about "Exploring" and he says "we gave the Explorer, and the SAP 8, and all of that, the truth is there! Just keep going on with what you were doing, keep on..."
One of the first things that were proposed, even by Erimus, was to take the UA to the Outer Rim, we talked a lot about the permitted regions, than we stopped talking about that, because we assumed that it would be almost impossible to carry the UA that far...
But those are all speculations, I know.
What I'm asking concretely now, is to check if some permitted regions are now selectable and reachable with the FSD, while carrying those THINGS
And in one of the last patches, FD have extended the distance a System could be, to give a permit to another near System...
You can cause a Forced Mis-Jump in FFE (and Frontier) by holding down the ALT key when pressing H.
I'm not suicidal enough to test if this, or any other combination works in Elite: Dangerous!
(I believe that the idea was to use it to evade mercenaries and assassins who were tailing you)

Yes. But the morse did not change. We had a strange change in the purrs however. This post is a good entry point if you want to read more about it.
It was the first time i've actively watched for the purrs and found a video with so few purrs. But after that i started searching for more.
The purrs in this old video by red wizzard are also different, with no SAP 8 involved: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKT6CVKclZg
Have not found more of this examples. Not sure what brings the UA to emit less purrs. But i think this is the hottest lead we have at the moment.
I did not know this
Where did you end up?
Please please please please tell!!!!![]()
Haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread but......the recent galnet news aticle is a big hint with the plague......
I didn't (& still don't) have a Sap-8, but here's trying to route to Witch's Reach (which has a similar permit required as Polaris) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ocJb-oZZlo. I get the same kind of thing when I try Polairs.
Somewhere near to your destination, but the location cursor is in empty space and there are no planets/space-stations around ... just space ... lots of it!
The same could also happen if you didn't service your drive and it failed - causing a mis-jump. (This is Frontier: First Encounters for anyone randomly reading the Q/A)
(I can't test with a sidewinder in E: D right now unfortunately as I'm flying a mining python with rare metals to sell off through the BBS missions)
