Hafnium Convoy spotted in an Independent System (NGURACI). Nearly missed it as it wasnt Green.
If we are logging who has Hafnium Convoys, the Alliance does too
Five Killed in Shuttle Accident said:A Sirius Corporation shuttle was destroyed this morning when its docking computer failed on approach to Patterson Enterprise in the Sirius system. While such failures aren’t unheard of, they are rare, especially among smaller craft.
Elaine Boyd from the Federal Times asked a Sirius Corporation representative how the company was able to determine the cause of the accident so quickly. She was told:
“The telemetry from the shuttle provided clear evidence of a stall in the computer’s operation as the vessel approached the docking port. The boost protocol should have been disabled but was instead activated, causing the shuttle to crash into the station.”
The representative stated that the crash would be investigated further, and in particular why the software failed in this instance.
Everyone onboard the shuttle was killed including Sean Richards, a senior consultant engineer who helped to compile the incident report on the recent disappearance of Starship One. Richards had also formed part of the task force some 50 years earlier with the Antares enquiry.
I think the easiest game mechanic to implement is to do something with the UA object.
The UA object probably inherits the Toxic waste canister, but it has custom sound, 3D model, effects and a cool death/escape animation.
It would be easy to add a conditional trigger that in some way changes the UA or even just another cool animation.
A solution like this would not require any changes to current game mechanics.

There's the clear link between the Antares Incident 50 years ago, and SS1 disappearing earlier this year.
Combined with cues from Kerrash in the last couple of days (basically, hurry up or it will happen without you), that pretty much nails the UAs as involved IMO.
Just in case it means anything to anyone here are some of the notes ,there is a pattern but i got work in the morning so cant work on it.
d# g d# g f g d# g f# d# g d# f# g d# g d# d# d# g d# f# g d# d# d# d# g d# d# d# g d# d# g g d# d#
dont know how long it goes on for, and it doesnt fit with the whale song notes but who knows...
edit: or maybe it does fit in, sections of these notes in between the whale notes to make a whole other tune as the key.....still going to bed

maybe someone with an UA should do a tour through the Sirius system and all stations .... just saying. they even spelled out a station name.
EDIt: and take a video ;-)
It's no a big tour. Two stars, two planets, two stations.
Cmdr Branch/MrTree has been there with the UA.
The only things that stands out in the Sirius system are the two very bright stars and high radiation.
ANNOUNCEMENT: THE CANONN, LIFE AFTER THE UA.....SIGN UP.
Hi all,
As some of you are already well aware "The Canonn" intends to continue after the UA in some form or another.
I will keep this as brief as possible.
There are several players here that have been the heart and soul of this community, I have it in my mind that some of them should form a council which should in effect govern The Canonn moving forward.
For me the ultimate aim would be to become a minor power/faction through CG's....but it would be up to the council to decide what The Canonn became and what it's goals should be. With luck more content aimed at our field of expertise is on the way!
First things first though, although I have had some pledges of support privately already from some of you guys, I have no idea how strong the desire to be involved is.
With this in mind would ALL PLAYERS WISHING TO EXPLORE THE FUTURE OF THE CANONN FURTHER PLEASE PM ME WITH THE SUBJECT/TITLE "CANONN".
This will allow us to gauge if the Canonn will go on to be a small secretive bunch of crack pots lurking in the shadows.......or an army prepared to sweep all before them in the name of science. (Other options also available)
I am very much aware we still have a job to do, so at this stage please simply register your interest and a PM mailing list will be created from there with more information at some point shortly after the dust settles on our current.......escapade.
Thank you.
I'll sign up not sure what am I signing up to but I will. Totally in for the official X-Files group of Elite Dangerous. Let's just call it an anti-INRA or an independent backed research arm of all things wacky and mysterious in the galaxy. Totally in for that. Politics excluded other than a mutual understanding from all the players (I'm an Alliance backer per se) that their respective esteemed governments aren't telling the truth and it's up to us to find it.

i know. the last Antares Galnet news (before this one) mentioned that the Antares maiden voyage was around the Sirius system. Now today this Galnet news. and they mentioned the Patterson station specifically.
I think it is valid to cruise around there and do all kinds of stuff. it may not happen bang the first second you arrive there. probably only when FSD is enagaged or the switch from normal space to supercruise or back.
EDIT: and the galnet news reported a computer malfunction type of accident, so it may happen somewhat sporadic
