I'll make a minor stink if it is planetary landing. Mainly just because I don't think the game is ready for it and it is still in need of further build out. If it is PL and then we are going to do all these other things, too...I might feel okay. Otherwise, I just think PL will add a novelty that will wear off quickly without the richness needed in other areas, where you will still spend most of your time.
Of course the game is not ready for it.
But it was not ready for release in December, and that did not stop FD.
I fully expect planetary landings to be announced. I actually have no problem with that at all. We have been told it is a separate team (but them we have also been told that 'most of the developers' have been working on this surprise, so that doesn't quite square), and were told during the kickstarter days to expect the first paid expansion about a year after release of the game. I expect the announcement to be that it will be available by Christmas (though they managed to surprise me by announcing XBox available today at E3 - I was expecting an announcement of a date). It should produce at least half a shed full of cash. Good news all round.
My problem, of course, is not the resource spent on expansions, which had already been separated out, but the resource spent by the core team doing 'non core stuff', instead of 'completing the core game'. That old argument.
