Michael, will current beta account owners have access to beta - horizons?
Yes i would like this confirmed either way too, but i suspect the answer will be no, hence the £10 discount for beta players.
A long thread, moving so fast, so i have not read every post, so do we know when the Beta Horizons starts, what does Holiday 2015 mean, which holiday.
How long will beta last before release, these things i need to know before buying either.
And yes, too expensive for me and my pension. I will still buy though, i have been waiting a long time for this, and i am excited by it, but just have questions waiting to be answered first.
I would have hoped for around the £20 mark for this, and £130 for the pass is way above my budget.

But there's already such a content overload in the main game, how will they ever be able to live up to these expectations?

Ah ha! I do believe I detect the fragrant whiff of sarcasm... and fair comment too. But if you were willing to spend more than this much on the core game with it's minimal content, then FD I'm sure feels they're doing you a favour by doubling your content for less than double the price. :p

Have you ever looked up what the early Alpha Minecraft was like? Then compare that to Minecraft today (or soon with the new update) ... Frontier are doing the same thing. The first version of the game may have very little (in each persons opinion), but over the years Frontier will add to it constantly.

So... if I understand correctly, I can link my old ED savegame to Horizons. But are they going to be completely separated games? Or do they both uphold the same universe? So that only your gameplay possibilities differ depending on which version you play (regular ED or Horizons)?

On another note.... how are bases going to work with instances? A lot of unanswered questions. If they're persistent, hard to see how this is going to be implemented. If they're not persistent..... hard to see how this is going to be implemented!

Michael, could You answer our question?

Will current standard beta owners have access to beta - horizons?
Nobody knows and there are missinformations in this and other threads. We need to have clarification from You.

OK, planetary landings. Very well but i expected that this was the big Gamescom news.

The trailer looks really good but we already know that Frontier is good with this stuff.

Personally I think it's a little bit early for landings. IMHO the main game lacks a lot of things more important than this...

This game desperately needs added depth. Definitely not preordering this without more information and improvements to the core game.

I quite agree.

Just wanted to say thanks for the introduction of RUB in the store. It was nice back then, and it's nice now. Thanks, FD.

Its in the shop. Its the price thingy made of numbers with the £ sign in front of it.

Hehe, like it :)

I can't get onto the store at the moment, but are you looking through the Steam store? I only ask because judging by Ziljan's post on #365 the wording on the Steam page says, Beta, whereas the Frontier page says Pre-Order

This worries me. He describes the patches 1.1 (Community Goals), 1.2 (Wings), 1.3 (PowerPlay) and 1.4 (CQC) all as part of the current season. Horizons is supposed to be the next season. From that, it sounds that without buying Horizons*, you won't get any further content updates.

(* I have the Lifetime Expansion Pass, so it wouldn't be a problem for me – but for others.)

People pay £40 and after get a years worth of content. For the following year they have to pay more to get more. What is hard or unfair about that?

Or they can just stick with the stuff they already paid for.
